No. If the % of makes had taken a sizable jump, maybe but as it stands the difference is the number taken. By in large the college kids don't have the strength or developed skill to hit from NBA range with any level of consistency...

Sure, and it isn't cheap. UC doesn't agree to the deal if there isn't a game at Nippert included. If OSU wants to pay a heavy price to get out of it, that's the cost of doing good business...

Except the only reason UC agreed to the deal is one game was contracted to be at Nippert and OSU bought it out. They wouldn't have agreed to the deal otherwise because it's a terrible deal. The buyout money did fund a large portion of the practice facility and bubble, so that was nice. Good effort though...

Mullen said it himself. A 2 for 1 with a game at UCF is standard for an SEC vs AAC type series. A 2 road, 1 neutral is a slap in the face...

I’ve talked to three different people with knowledge of the situation and they all say the actual deal was 2 at the Swamp and 1 in the Citrus Bowl. UCF came back with 1 at Swamp, 1 at UCF and 1 neutral and UF said no. I’d agree if UCF turned down an actual 2 for 1, they look really bad claiming no one will play them. That’s a fair deal given the current landscape...

They don’t mention it because it would change the narrative. Florida has no interest in making a fair offer, so they do something they know there is zero chance UCF would agree to and boom here we are. The P5 heavy national and regional media spin it to make UCF look bad for not making a terrible business decision, and the general public laps it up as if UCF won’t schedule Florida. Rinse and repeat...

Wes just had a way of making everything MUCH easier. Still going to land a couple top 10 kids a year without his influence, but not having that insider juice with the true stars is a problem when battling with K and his bench full of former Dukie names. It is what it is. You are simply going to struggle to produce at the level they did if you don't have the biggest influence in the game at your side any more...

West is producing P5 level talent with regularity, they just didn't have a coach that could get them over the hump. That changes instantly as Bolden takes over. From what I've heard Colerain is strapped for cash and West made him an offer that was near impossible to turn down...

Short answer is because he was fat when he was in high school. He's dropped at least 25 pounds since arriving at Seton Hall. Could always flat fill it up, but was seen as unathletic and out of shape...

Down by 20 with 2:38 left. Double digit lead for 30 consecutive minutes. UC was far better than NKU. JB said as much as I was sitting 5 feet from him in the post game presser. Just calling a spade a spade. Until next time when you predict an inferior opponent will take down UC...

Cincinnati was up 74-54 with 2:38 left. That's a blowout. They put in the walkon with over a minute left and Sharpe threw in three triples that absolutely didn't matter. The game wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicates...

NKU was 8-22 from three until Sharpe threw in three in a row when the game was out of reach. UC grabbed 13 of 18 missed shots in the first half to totally dominate the glass. A 72% offensive rebound rate is bonkers. UC wasn’t trapping and trying to force pressure in the press. It was designed to slow NKU down and keep them from running crisp offense, and it worked all night. We must have watched a different game. It was a blowout for 30...

Day is paying lip service at his introductory presser. If he’s landing Ohio kids outside the top 10 in each class with regularity, he won’t be long for Columbus and you know it. Expectations have changed since Tressel and so has the entire path to winning a title. You get there with elite, national level recruiting classes. Not a bigger focus on Ohio...

The obvious switch was deciding they didn’t want to keep getting their teeth kicked in when they played the SEC in January. Go back to making Ohio the focus, and go back to getting run off the field against the best of the best. That’s not how you keep the Ohio State job...
