This is the hardest one to call in years. I wish Trinity had a few more games to work out the timing on offense and in the secondary. That said, I still think Trinity pulls this one out.

More than they can chew? No, but it is taking a little more mastication than usual. In a good year Trinity can play with anyone in the country. In a down year, Trinity can play with anyone in Kentucky. The goal is the same as every other year. Enter the playoffs playing your best ball of the year and keep getting better until the first weekend in December.

Per Twitter it was 26-25. Rocks down 25-10 in 4th. Big win.

Not off course, it’s just that the road is a little longer than we are used to. Maybe it isn’t that the road is longer. Maybe we just aren’t quite as far down the road as we usually are at this point in the season. Coach Lampley said that every team had to build its own road to the championship. Trinity has the finest road builders anywhere. I trust them to get it right.

The monster may be a bit wounded this year, but that just serves to focus the mind. I won’t close the book on this year until the clock reads 0:00 in the last game.

Boy am I glad that there is no way anyone is going to listen to you. The Hall of Fame coach and his staff will be just fine. You have been predicting the imminent demise of Trinity football for as long as I can remember. You finally get a game right and now think you know more than the coaches. Pshaw!

That is not exactly what he said. If you saw the game you know that the seniors provided great leadership. In fact, some of the performance deterioration late was after three senior leaders went down. I know that you like to run the Trinity players and coaches down, but this group will be fine. There was no quit in that team last night. They will get better as the younger kids gain experience, but this will be a senior led team.

I didn’t post on the game last night because I was so mad about some of the comments on here that I would have said something stupid about some of the posters. Let me tell you what I saw. I saw two very good football teams that left every ounce of skill and effort they had on the field. Regarding the 3rd down call, it cost them 40 seconds, but a first down would have sealed the game. The play they called was open but the execution was off. Late...
