You win the "Got me to crack up first" award for the day. Your visuals had me spit me coffee, and especially the "feeding their face with nachos and beer" part.

Saw the Mountain Goats merely by accident in Covington in 2007 because my reason for attending was for the warmup band Bowerbirds from North Carolina who were touring their debut "Hymns for a Dark Horse". I had briefly researched MG before attending, and saw that they were at the time touring their 10th release, and I was too overwhelmed by that to do much more than listen to a few tracks to familiarize myself with their sound. At the...

The warmup band for Mac Sabbath was called Okilly Dokilly that played like a grindcore death metal where each member of the band dressed as Ned Flanders from the Simpsons. This tunes actually rocks even while the're obviously doing it tongue in cheek.

Had no clue that there was a Zakk Sabbath (but I'm intrigued, and am listing to them do War Pigs as I'm typing this), but have you heard of Mac Sabbath??? - (Parody Sabbath band where lead singer is Ronald McDonald, and his bandmates are characters such as the Hamburgler, where every song is stupidly changed to represent food, for example "Iron Man" becomes "Frying Pan"). I didn't go but they played the Woodward on Main in OTR back in...

I agree that it doesn't accomplish much because the ones who get it aren't the ones who need to. It's kinda like the old saying "Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and just annoys the pig."

theguru There's a new 6500-sq ft. antique shop in Latonia called Half & Half Antiques located at 3630 Decoursey Ave. Hours: Tues-Sat 11:00-7:00 Sun 11:00-5:00 In their entrance display window just today I saw a counter level army green wrought iron set of two chairs w/ square light colored wide cushioned seats, and a matching round glass top table for the asking price of $140. They didn't rock or swivel, nor are...

I know that I already posted Dizgo playing this tune live, but this Live in Studio performance of "Right Place Right Time" is just too groovy for words...I just had to share it. Seriously ambitious jams for these guys' debut effort.

I feel really bad that with all of the eclipse talk that I didn't take a minute to remember the comedic legend Jerry Lewis. Being raised by older parents who loved his comedy, I grew up loving him too. I honestly can't remember a time that I didn't know who he was. His goofiness gave me a license to be goofy too. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Jim Carrey for example, was highly influenced by him, as well as countless others. Strangely...

Funny you should say that, as I almost said something in a similar line of "If, of course, I'm still here" ...but then just thought to myself that my confidence that I will be, would be enough to ensure that I indeed will be. If only it worked like that, but until it doesn't, that's how I intend to roll. I've already figured that I'll be a month shy of my 60th birthday, and I've already decided that I'm seeing 60.

They're so messed up....now the episode is continuing, but has gone back about 15 minutes...I'm assuming their goal now is to have it wrapped up by 10:30... Well... at least it appears that I get to see the whole thing

I'm watching on Channel 48 in Cincinnati... Not sure why exactly, but 15 minutes into this program it blipped, and then started all over from the beginning... ...Highly unusual I do hope that they allow the ending to mess up their schedule, and go until 10:15.

^^^ Love this tune. :ylsuper: Saw them open for AC/DC back in the day on the Flick of the Switch tour. Something else that I find interesting regarding Fastway: By 1988 lead singer Dave King from Dublin, Ireland had bailed, and didn't sing on their "On Target" release.

My Corona...that's classic!!! :lol2: Was thinking that the Corona Beer Company must've done well today. Good to know you're doing fine, and thanks for the enthusiasm that you have built around this event. Learned way more things about it than I might've otherwise, and because of you, knew well in advance, and way before the media jumped on it. :thumb: Though I was nowhere near totality, it was a good day to reflect on how every day is...

Even with it not being totality where I am, I was expecting it to appear much darker outside... definitely now can see the hype about being in totality considering what I'm seeing on TV from those who are experiencing the real deal.

The squirrels and birds that are typically active in the nearby trees are nowhere to seen or heard. I do however hear a faint sound of crickets, but not yet nearly as loud as they are in the night time....wondering if they will become more audible the darker it becomes?

Watching from my fire escape in Covington... my apartment is getter dimmer by the minute, and the dimming lightness outside is getting unusually weird. Interested in seeing if the street lights automatically pop on...assuming that they will.
