Agreed as was indicated by my first sentence. Used it more or less as a launch pad to delve deeper into how they kicked off the season, and with what teams. My apologies if my use of "somewhat misleading" sounded misleading as if I were questioning you. Everything that you said was correct and complementary to the Cru. Perhaps I could've approached my post with different wording to ultimately say what I was aiming to say.

I realize that you didn't mean anything insulting with saying "schneid" and were complementary to the Cru in your post, and while technically true being winless in their 3 outings previous to their victory over Ryle, perhaps maybe a bit misleading since they jumped out of the gate with tall order games against Cooper, CovCath, and Conner. They showed a respectable amount of toughness against the Colonels and Jags, and came up just a hair...

You got that right. I know it's early and I could be eating my words, and I know that people object to handing over the crown too soon, but I don't see anyone touching them. I'd be shocked if they're not the team cutting down the nets at Rupp come March.

As hard as LCA is fighting, and how incredibly strong and relentless Scott County is, it's painful in a way to see all of that LCA effort go unrewarded, but still admirable that they just won't give up in the face of such insurmountable adversity.

Thanks. I followed your link and it leads me to the same archives page that I was able to find. I click on play and see the time changing, but I still hear nothing. I suppose it's something small that I am overlooking, but presently it's driving me nuts as to what it is. :idunno:

It was in the 2nd quarter that Scott was finally cutting into the lead when they were taking advantage of some momentum while the Tigers were hitting snags and lapses. Officiating at this time was par for the course. Most of the 3rd quarter was neck n' neck, but then in the 4th at optimum times, time and again the relentless momentum stealing posturing began to rear its ugly head. At this point in the game the ref could more clearly...

Wondering if someone, maybe Colonels_Wear_Blue can help me with the trouble I'm having listening to CovCath game archives. -I go the Colonel Athletic Network at CovCath.org -I find the Mixlr page. -I find the list of archives where presently the Highlands game is the most current. -I push play and see that the time is changing.

It wasn't just the fouls being called that I'm referring to, it was stuff like a non-existent walking violation served that not a soul in the house could see just as Scott got a defensive rebound and were trying to get going to cut into a reachable small lead that kept getting away from them. There's a certain control freak posturing that some refs can have when they relentlessly call stuff as if they have an ax to grind with someone. This...

Having no dog in the fight, from my perspective there was a particular dark haired ref who time and again kept robbing The Eagles of momentum with one ridiculous bad call after the other, and so much that it felt intended. To me this stifling home cooking was the difference in the game.

Oh well Beechwoodfan all good things must come to an end. I was pulling for you, and wow what a weird ending to the Steelers/Charges game. When he missed that first FG I thought that your hopes were still alive, but then offsides was called and the rest is history. Thanks again for continuing the game, and very impressive of you as you got all the way to lucky Week 13 before having to hang it up. :thumb:

I expect this game with the Chargers to be a real good one, but can't blame you to pick the Steelers at home. Looking at other games, and who you've already picked, Rams, Texans, Seahawks, and Titans all seemed like good bets too, but of course you had to go with something, and for your sake I hope it's a big day in Pittsburgh. What do I know though... my picks all season long have been awful, and here you are still hanging tough. :thumb:

Can't wait to hear about this game. In the 11th Region preview thread Dunbar was rated 3rd, and says that they got a lucky break with three new 6'8" international students.

In the 8th Region preview Collins is listed as #1 and Gallatin County is #7. For those in the know is the 8th Region really this close 1 thru 7?

Sorry for all of the separate chunks of details, but I'm just posting them while I sit here reflecting on tonight's game. OK..it's midnight and I'm gonna turn into a pumpkin if I don't hit the hay. Goodnight and I hope to resume this conversation in the morning. Peace Out.

I was also very impressed by how much Spencer for Cooper has improved. Dude has developed his game, is explosive, and has a nice assortment of skill sets while also showing decent leadership qualities for the team. He's no longer in the shadows by any stretch, and I can just imagine him becoming even more of a beast as the season progresses. Deere was also showing a ton of takeover mentality with his game, and Walters was showing that he's...

Not sure what he ended up with but St Henry's #3 Junior Connor Shea sure can light it up from long range. He's a little guy that looks younger than a Junior, but at one point he was nailing them left and right. Don't let this kid fool you...he has a dead eye for connecting with the basket. Also was really impressed with the hustle of Sr. guard #11 Alex Westerbeck, and sophomore #22 Jude Bessler looks and plays with the strength of someone...

Agreed on adjustments. 2nd quarter Cooper played more poised and focused to knot things up going into halftime, then continued their pursuit throughout the 2nd half. Still was very impressed by how St. Henry hung tough throughout. They did have a chance to cut it to 4 with about 4 minutes remaining, but got a little carried away with the ball and paid dearly as Cooper cashed in giving them an 8 point lead and never looked back.

I won't be able to give a thorough assessment of the game because I was chatting most of the time, but Cooper came out pretty flat, and I believe that early on St. Henry was up by as much as 9 at 20-11. The Crusaders are a decent team and nothing to sneeze at and made the Jags earn this win for sure, and kept it close mostly throughout. I believe that it was all knotted up at half at 34, and again tied at 51 before Cooper began to take over....

Funny you should say this as I was thinking the same thing. I listened a little bit here and there to the broadcast and it seemed that the Colonels were letting the Panthers get away with some long bombs much to the chagrin of Coach Ruthsatz. Not sure of final stats, but you're pretty much right on with said names getting theirs. Fleek was headed toward around 20 last that I was paying attention with some dunks, and one easy missed one, and...
