@SethOnHoops "Talked with a number of high profile officals today who informed me this type of situation is not that uncommon. Fan is short for fanatic." @SethOnHoops Number of officals told me they have received everything from calls to picture of their homes after games. Society no respect 4 authority.

For the record, I agree about not abandoning your rooting interest, but to piggyback, I find it equally funny at the amount of people who shame fans of a team who didn't go to that school. It's often a criticism I see of Kentucky fans in particular because so many did not attend UK. I don't understand that line of thinking, particularly for people who grew up a fan of the team before they ever thought about college. Plus, college is about...

I disagree with this wholesale. People have different philosophies on it, but it is definitely not "nobody". Plus, it's not as if North Carolina couldn't have called a timeout themselves to draw up a play. What you saw is why there are some coaches who don't call a timeout to set up a play. The defense isn't set, and that can lead to chaos that the offense can take advantage of. You can see on the replay that Cal and assistants are motioning...

I was struck by how similar this felt to the Wisconsin game in 2015. UK got the lead and I felt they'd pull away. Then a disastrous scoreless stretch dooms them.

If Willis doesn't help on that drive the winning shot is a layup and not a 20 footer. Be upset at Briscoe if you're going to be upset at someone on that one play. Willis was a liability defensively but I don't fault him on that one.

Well crud. Good game though. Monk and Fox just didn't have it for far too long and when Monk rediscovered it, it was too late. UNC has a heck of a team.

Are you using Firefox? I've been seeing this on non-secured sites through that. Basically means you're on a site that begins with http:// and not https://. The latter is a secure protocol, usually meaning it's firm that the site you're at is actually what it claims to be. It requires the website to have a certificate for that purpose.

Tough call. Truly stress free for me would be making having a job totally unnecessary. It wouldn't take much for there to be low stress for financial responsibilities, but there is still the stress of a job if you can't live totally off of what you already have. I'd say probably 3-5 million would accomplish it.

I'd personally go with Owensboro over Owensboro Catholic even with the regular season upset, but otherwise agree. Predictions round by round are hard to dispute as well.

I give Michigan somewhat of a pass. They had to know that they'd get fouled on any drives, and it would have taken more time than they had to draw two more fouls and then still be able to drive. I consider it something of a miracle they got a clear look without Oregon fouling them on that. West Virginia's issue was not going ahead and playing the foul game. There was a heck of a lot of time when they started going for the tie. Not having...

I don't know the specifics behind why he would have been fired, but I do know that no one could have succeeded with that Russell County team. They were a doomed ship the moment Kel Stotts left.

We played two games the last week of the regular season this year - it shouldn't be hard at all for people to shift those to other weeks. Really the only issue at all with shortening by a week is if we hit a significant weather stretch. If you have one less week for make up dates, that could cause your season to be even shorter. But that's really the only downside I see. I like the idea of getting the boys back in front of the girls for a...

I've always felt that Tubby guided that team in a way I think was different than what Rick would have. And I think it worked. I've always felt Tubby was a great coach, but he just didn't have the touch as a recruiter. That 98 team was a perfect mix where he had a team with the right talent that he could guide. 2003 was the only other time I really felt Tubby found the right mix, and it took a Bogans injury and Wade's monster game to derail them.

My guess is that he'd have won maybe two more. I'm not certain one of them would have been 1998. I really think Tubby was the right coach for that team.

This is where I had Kentucky exiting. I see no reason to alter that. While I was encouraged by Kentucky's performance without a dominant Monk or Fox today - in that they won a scenario most of us thought they'd certainly lose in - UCLA is just another animal. Those guys hit shots. Wichita State could scarcely throw it in the ocean in the first half with wide open shots.

This is an AMEN post. While I'd have liked to have seen Arkansas beat UNC for making an easier bracket, I shed no tear for the fact an SEC team exited.

ZERO. The number of experts that picked a team other than Villanova or Duke out of the East. (I confess I picked Nova as well) The East is that crazy region this year. Ever single other region will send at least three of their top 4 seeds to the Sweet 16.

All these upsets, and naturally the South is where the top 4 seeds are all going to make it through. Oh, Arkansas and Cincy put up fights, but just couldn't help clear the path.

We had my wife pick a bracket this year, after eight games had been played (she knows nothing of basketball and in fact picked four teams that had already lost). She picked South Carolina over Duke. Oh, how we laughed, and laughed.......

If you want to say his best four years are comparable or maybe even better than Riley's best four, there you might have a discussion. You don't have a discussion yet overall. Especially when you consider where Bowling Green was when Sherrill took over (a team that had been to two of the previous three region title games) and where Warren Central was when Riley took over (a team entering probation ). And yes, you have to consider that Sherrill...

Sorry i didn't respond to your comments but was posting and keeping scoreboard at same time. Central played with a lot of heart and was fired up at start of game but I think the block punt took all the wind out of you. Had that not happens I thin the game would have been a lot different. Wish you all the best of luck going forward into the playoffs.
