Certainly a great baseball player and one of the major players in shaping the Kentucky Republican Party into what it is today.

Big day. FC Cincinnati's stadium bid featured in "Field of Schemes", a blog dedicated to ending the practice of publicly finding professional sporting venues. Cincy soccer team exec: We’ve never asked for subsidies before, so give us $1m as thanks | Field of Schemes That's how you know you've gone big-time.

At this point it's way beyond "anti-Trump" leaking. Washington has always had a problem with being a town in which everyone wanted to be "the guy in the know" with reporters and so folks spoke out of turn. The willingness of the intelligence and law enforcement communities to be part of that is usually far less common. The 24-hour news cycle has made corporate news ever more desperate to get out and find thugs like this rather than show...

We'll find out more as the days turn into weeks, but... yikes. The life and death of the Seth Rich conspiracy theory - The Washington Post The family of Seth Rich has produced some evidence that may suggest that KimDotCom may have been attempting to hack Rich's email account as recently as last week. I'm stunned that convicted criminal, wanted fugitive, and world traveler (on account of being tossed out of so many places) Kim DotCom may...

Agreed. Worst car trip I've ever done. It'll take some real persuasion for me to ever agree to drive that far again.

I forgot that Kansas had the World's Largest Ball of Twine, otherwise I'd have nominated a little place called "Prairie Dog Town", a strange little place right off the highway in the desolate waste between Topeka, KS and Denver, CO.

Dad's most frequent joke when I was a kid is still one of my favorites. "Hey look at those ducks up there! See how they fly in a 'v' shape? Look at it. One side is longer than the other. Do you know why that is? ... There's more ducks in that row."

When I was a kid, he used to get revved up like he was getting ready to curse then say something else. His most frequent was: "God ... bless America!"

Sorry, also meant to answer. General rule is that you don't have to turn over records in which the act of turning them over is itself could be considered testimonial. Basic idea: if the government says "Give us any memos you have that might be related to the subject of this investigation." You don't have to. If the government can say however "Give us the two memos written to these two people at about this time" then you're probably going to...

Agreed; really fun game to watch. WAY closer than that final score indicates thanks to the two empty-netters late on. Really hoping for Nashville/Ottawa as we'd be guaranteed a first time Cup winner. Don't think that's going to happen at this point though.

So as not to get into the fairly strange world of the "Act of Production" doctrine, let me say that I don't think it's going to apply here because the memoranda are in the possession of the people he sent them to and the government has a pretty good or even exact idea where they are and who has them them. They won't need to get them from Comey. In short, I don't think they'll need Comey to get the memos that have been talked about so far.

We don't know details for certain except that they exist. Typical government interpersonal memos done as followups for meetings are typed and then signed by the originator before distribution. Verification comes from both authenticating signatures and speaking with the recipients of those memos. We'll find out what they look like for certain as Mr. Mueller's investigation progresses.

Aren't you in other threads jumping up and down about people talking about the president's campaign's connections to Russia because the evidence is too flimsy? What is this? A convicted criminal's tweet and an anonymous post on 4Chan and we've got ourselves a bona fide panic at the DNC. You're dividing America.

The gap between what Cleveland has put together and the rest of the East is pretty staggering. And it looks as though their plan for how to end the season was flawless. The Cavs are healthy, rested, and ready. I didn't know it would be this much of a foregone conclusion, but hopefully we're going to get the Finals we deserve.

Wow! Hamburg escape! 21-year-old Luca Waldschmidt scores his FIRST GOAL OF THE SEASON in the 88th minute to keep Hamburg in the Bundesliga. Wolfsburg to the relegation playoff, likely against local rivals Eintracht Braunschweig.

Also, if current scores hold, Hertha Berlin, featuring American defender John Brooks, will be in the Europa League next season. Need Bayern to hold on and beat Freiburg.

Bayern are champions already. Relegation battles and positioning for European league spots are the only things left today. Exciting game between Wolfsburg and Hamburg on Fox Sports 1 right now. If Wolfsburg get a draw or a win, then Hamburg is stuck in the relegation playoff. If Hamburg win, they're safely in the Bundesliga for another season and Wolfsburg is in the relegation playoff against the third place team in 2.Bundesliga. American...

I was at the match back in April. Very jealous of the setup FCC has at Nippert. Easy to see how they draw in so many. Do a great job bringing folks in and makes them want to come back. It'll be nice when they can play play on real grass, but I'll miss games at Nippert when/if they get a facility all their own.

Greater Cincinnati has about a million more people in it than Greater Louisville so the crowd will be... likely considerably larger. I would think the fact that school will be over by the time the fourth round gets going will help in either location. Midweek games in April/May can be tricky on attendance.

It's tough to bring in a new coach that close to the start of the season. None of the new signings were his guys. He hadn't had the preseason to train in the style he wants. Bad situation.
