  1. Breathitt's coliseum is the best in the 14th to me, and it's not just because of where I am from. I know they don't have the chairback seats, but the interior is absolutely beautiful. I also like how the fans are seperated from the players and floor (just as Knott's is). The shot clocks on top of the goals also add to the facility. Parking is a draw back, but if one knows the city of Jackson very well, then parking is close. I think the dome roof also adds a lot. That's something that not a lot of high schools have.
  2. :thumb: You could probably take Nick Noble from Breathitt as well. He starts over Channing and is really good defensively.
  3. How about a one point win over Hazard at Hazard as a big win? Breathitt's only loss was a two point loss to Hazard at Breathitt. I think they are deserving of their ranking.
  4. Could Notre Dame slip into the Nation Championship game? Of course, USC and Florida would have to lose as well as Rutgers would have to lose to WVU. It will probably be OSU/Michigan winner vs USC, but if Florida wins out should they be there instead of USC?
  5. If I remember correctly, wasn't MHS up 50-42 with 2:43 to play in the fourth when Breathitt decided to punt the ball to MHS? How could anybody play MHS a lot closer than Breathitt did. If they do play a lot closer that would mean MHS would lose, right?
  6. It was a really good game. Breathitt actually should have won this game. Neither should Breathitt. Now they will have to play the loser of the Middlesboro/Leslie game. If MHS wins that game Breathitt will have to beat a stingy Leslie team again. Breathitt didn't necessarily dominate the game the first time they played.
  7. One team that I have seen this year that sound llike the type of team that could beat Mercer is Western. They have the speed and physicality that could counter that of Mercer's. I would love to see how those two would match up.
  8. I believe Breathitt will pull out the win by two TDs. However, it wouldn't surprise me if Powell Valley wins because of the youth Breathitt plays.
  9. The final score was 61-44. Breathitt scored 44 points on Western's first string defense. Western's defense will have to play better than that against Breathitt this year. Breathitt's offense is a lot better this year than it was last year. Western should win this game, but it should be a close game. The only way Breathitt wins is if their defense plays better than it has so far this year. Hopefully they will and Breathitt pulls off the upset.
  10. This was a close game until the 4th quarter when Breathitt pulled away.
  11. Does anybody think that Griffey's "lack of hustle" may have something to do with not wanting to blow out the hammy again? Maybe he wants to continue to play for a Reds team that actually has a good chance to make the playoffs instead of having a season ending injury running full throttle on a ground ball that he probably wouldn't even beat out. I'm not saying this is the reason for the "lack of hustle," but it is something to think about.
  12. :thumb: I personally think Breathitt will surprise some people this year.
  13. I don't know what Fleming has coming back, but I'll say Breathitt wins by two TDs. 28-14 Anybody else have any predictions?
  14. I think Prestonsburg and Breathitt County will be two teams that make huge turn arounds from last season. I look for both to be region contenders (of course the favorites are Belfry and Middlesboro).
  15. As far as the Breathitt/Pikeville scrimmage, I heard that Breathitt scored 4Tds to Pikeville's 0. I wasn't there and don't know anything for sure, but that is what I heard.
