A small price to pay for maintaining his rep as the NFL bad boy. Were it not for his cheap shots, fines, suspensions, he'd simply be another NFL player and no one would know who he is. But because of his antics, he maintains his cred, builds on his reputation and has become a household name. .....And that's what it's all about!!!!!

Everybody can't be Patrick Mahomes, BUT he brings visible leadership from his position, and generates excitement through his mannerisms and youthful exuberance, and is obviously effective. Fun to watch. Compared to him, Dudley, I mean Andy, looks like a sleepy, unemotional, single dimension generic robot, hoping that things go well instead of being pro-active in making them happen - or at least trying to be flexible in attempting to make...

Youthful exuberance and excitement vs Not-so-Youthful Same Old, Same Old, Vanilla, stressful, wishful thinking. I fear for the kid's future in the league. Just not built sturdy like the guys who play for a decade. Enjoy him while he's here. Despite beating up on the Bengals, KC is fun to watch.

The Brossart Mustangs traveled to Berea, and as expected, dealt the Berea Pirates their 43rd consecutive loss, concluding the BB-Berea series with the Mustangs taking all four of these contests over the past four years. Berea is being realigned out of Class 1A, District 5 next season. The Mustangs were without the services of Senior Quarterback Tyler MacDonald who sustained a shoulder injury a week ago vs Paris. Sophomore Trevor Schadler...

Mustangs advance to 10th Region semi-finals on the merits of a 3-0 win over George Rogers Clark on Tuesday night at the Sharp Middle School. The Mustangs got on the board with 13:06 remaining in the first half, when a corner throw-in by Sophomore Tyler Malay resulted in a Bryson Wieland header into the back of the net. The Mustangs led 1-0 after a half in which the Brossart keeper never touched the ball. The insurance goal came at the...

Paris Greyhounds come to Alexandria, hand the home-standing Brossart Mustangs their first shut out since August of 2013, as they win their second consecutive Class A, District 5 championship by a 28-0 score. In what was a 7-0 game at the half with Paris on top, the Greyhounds put up 14 points in the first 1 minute and 7 seconds of the second half, by running back the kickoff 70 yards for a Lavonte Sanford touchdown. Following being pinned...

Under the present structure, the Cincinnati schools also play a series of "Bluegrass-Buckeye" games, I believe at Oak Hills High School.

This is somewhat of a "water seeks its own level" scenario in that some of the D-III eligible teams simply dominated when playing at that level. Brossart played in and won the Div-III title each year from 1991 through 1996. We then applied for, and were granted DivII status, joining NCC, Holy Cross, and St. Henry who were also eligible by enrollment for D-III, since then we have won the D-II title three times - 2005, 2007, and 2009 which was...

Being a dinosaur, I am about (maybe the) the only person who really follows our program's involvement in the NKAC. With that said it provides us with six quality/same talented opponents to anchor our schedule. Many don't realize how hard it is to schedule other schools. It's gotten to be that if an opponent feels that the game is lose-lose for them, they won't play you, so those conference games serve a valuable purpose. Probably pointing...

The Campbell County Camels avenged a regular season 3-0 loss to the Brossart Mustangs, upsetting the 37th District top-seed 2-1 in the district championship game on Thursday night at Scott High School. The Mustangs drew first blood when Tanner Griffin netted a ricochet originating from a Bryson Wieland corner kick. This came 15 minutes into the contest. Campbell County's Nick Phelps scored the equalizer on a PK, the result of a foul in the...

Just finishing this one up. Still have the final chapter to go. With the exception of 11-23-63 because I'm a JFK buff, I gave up on Stephen King about 15 years ago when everything involved the supernatural and the Boogie Man, and should have known better than to have gone back to him. For pure entertainment value though, it is a good read.

We think the Brossart-Paris game in Alexandria has the potential to be a dandy. Paris comes in at 4-3 overall and 3-0 in District 5 play, with wins over Berea (51-8) on the road, and Bracken County (9-0) and Nicholas County (28-6) at home, while the Mustangs are also 4-3 overall and 1-1 in district play with a most recent win over Bracken County (28-6) at home and a 28-14 loss to Nicholas County away. Paris has seemingly improved weekly,...

Fan focus has changed over the decades. When I was a youngster (a long time ago) I/we loved going to the ballpark, drinking lemonade and cheering for our heroes. The Reds were rarely in contention, but it was the experience and cheering for them to win that particular game that was important to us, you know, like the verse that says, "If they don't win its a shame." Today's fanbase insists on a contender, and the focus is on making and...

You are correct, and after what we witnessed in 2016 I am not assuming anything. Just got a bit ahead of myself at 1:30am in the morning and didn't think things through. No disrespect meant whatever. As you might have noticed at 1:30am after a full night of football broadcasting and updating the website etc., I even failed to spell Brossart correctly. :)

The Brossart Mustangs scored on our first offensive series, driving the football 59 yards for a 1 yard, Mason Dennis touchdown, plus the Bryan Duffy PAT. Bracken County answered on their first offensive possession, marching 64 yards culminated by a 53 yard Tad Fischer touchdown run, with the PAT attempt no good, and with the score 7-6 in our favor it appeared that this was going to be a shootout. The Mustangs maintained the pace, scoring on...

Congratulations to the Paris Greyhounds!!! This sets up a key Class 1-A, District 5 matchup a week from now vs Bishop Brossart, 28-6 winners over the Bracken County Polar Bears earlier tonight. The Brossrt-Paris game will be contested in Alexandria at Bob Miller Stadium. Brossart has a loss (28-14) to Nicholas County. Paris can virtually clinch the District 5 title with a win in Alexandria, while the Mustangs can throw the race into a...

MacDonalds and Burger King only out of necessity. Chili joints a couple of times a month. KFC weekly, Frisches a couple of times a week. Arbys about once a week. White Castles whenever I need a fix. I eat what I like and what I am in the mood for. I've made it 71 years being single and not eating healthy. I also weigh 260 as a result. I fix my own meals at home several times a week as well.

Points well taken. I miss-stated our objectives. Our goals are always to win the district and then go on to become 10th Region Champs in March. The line should read, "our initial objectives will be winning the 10th Region "A" and making a return to Richmond in January." The 10th Region "A" is the first major hurdle that lies in front of us, beyond that winning the district and regional are our ultimate goals. This group of seniors...
