  1. The Reds win the opener 8-2! I want to say Who Dey here but I don't think that is right.
  2. According to his own Facebook page, Yamil is back at Newport.
  3. When you get a more detailed version please start a new, catch all thread, thanks! g
  4. Also from the Larry Vaught article: Jeff Hoover was one of many fans that Woods has who was upset by the decision and didn’t hide his feelings on social media. “If you want to call Wayne County Superintendent Don Neal and tell him what a stupid, selfish, petty, bone-headed decision he made to fire @coachrwoods, his number is (606) 348-8484. Personal vendetta to get rid of one of best high school coaches in Kentucky history. Unbelievable,” Hoover posted on X. “Absolute travesty. @coachrwoods is arguably the best high school coach in Kentucky. Guarantee you he’s Top 5 from any objectionable analysis. Incredible. Folks in Wayne County will not be happy. True basketball fans not happy. I’m more than not happy.”
  5. From WKYT Sports Director Brian Milam on Facebook: An absolute travesty has occurred in the HS🏀 coaching ranks. Wayne County coach Rodney Woods has been relieved of his duties. Pink-slipped by the new Superintendent. 38 years of winning and Coach Woods gets canned like this? Something is not right in Monticello! Coach Woods is Wayne County and he is Wayne County basketball. That man has done more for that county, the county’s children, the county’s morale, and moral stance than anyone I can think of in just about any community in this state. I don’t know what else to say. I rarely get emotional about things out of my control, but this is a catastrophic error by the new superintendent of Wayne County schools Donnie Neal. I have already heard from a dozen people, some of them former coaches, who all say the exact same thing. This is a revenge tour, which has been a decade in the making.
  6. Here is another shot, definitely not a sell out.
  7. I paid some attention last year but there was nothing about that team or the several before it, or this years team that gets me excited. Add to that, MLB strikes me as somewhat corrupt too so there is that.
  8. I agree on the NIL. I was shocked to hear she was going to leave early. Unless the money is going to be way, way more, I don't see how it makes sense. And even if it is way more, I am sure that is going to make her super popular with her teammates and the other stars in the WNBA.
  9. Anyone excited for the 2024 Reds season to kickoff? I would say my interest in the Reds is at an all time low but I am open minded.
  10. There is no fix for the WNBA.
  11. I thought the same thing. And on this topic, I wonder about the future of the WNBA because even though it is already subsidized, it is sub-standard in my opinion.
