    A top tier program in the nation can't be down to eight scholarship players when there are two empty scholarships. It just can't happen. You are allowed to carry 13 scholarship players. UK had 11 last year. Winyard, Baker, and Vanderbilt all missed significant time. There is no reason why Calipari or his staff can't find someone like a Darius Miller or Derek Willis (doesn't have to be a kid from Kentucky) to fill the other two spots and...

    It doesn't bother me if Calipari fills his scholarship quota on the roster fully unlike last year. If Payne and Brad Calipari get minutes when there are 2-3 open roster slots, then I'm not a fan. There should never be a reason why UK is down to eight scholarship players for any game.
