  1. Not sure who is the ace of the staff. They are pretty deep and I think it will shake out in a few weeks. Barth, DeSylva, Wiggins and Schneider all have good enough stuff to be an ace.
  2. NO its just bad typing. As I restated it should have said number 4......☹️
  3. Does not say number one...in fact says no number because I was posting from my phone. Should say number 4. Sorry😄
  4. All I can say is Cooper is by far playing better than anyone in the region. Maybe in the state.
  5. Spot on. Honestly I think Ryle may have been the number team in the region this year. Plus I have my own opinion of Lloyd when it comes to the coaching staff and their capabilities. But as you said Cooper, CovCath and Newport then a huge gap to Ryle, Lloyd, Dixie, Beechwood et al.
  6. I think UK can win this game but they need the offensive explosiveness they have had recently. I think a game in he 70's or below is what Tennessee wants.
  7. Ryle pulled up a lot on shots for short to mid range jumpers instead of going into the teeth of Newport's defense. Not a bad strategy they just needed to shoot a little better. Played a very solid game.
  8. Newport was much more aggressive going to the basket, which has more to do with getting fouls than the style of defense you play. Many times zones, especially by teams that do not play them regularly leads to reaching on defense as players try to drive in seams. While I was not overly impressed with the officials I do not think they favored one way or the other. Some good calls and some bad calls both ways.
  9. Tommy Sorrell has always done a fantastic job as head coach! This was really a culmination of years of hard work. A trip to regjonals!!!
  10. Good solid season for the Tigers this year. Some nice wins and some really close "almost" nice wins. I like the Mertens kid coming back for next season. His dad was a really nice point guard back in the day for the Tigers. Zack a much better scorer.
  11. Kudos to Campbell for keeping the score where it was. Didn't see the game but obviously they did something.
  12. I can see UK bouncing back and winning this game.
  13. Well....at least we are not the bottom feeder of the ACC.
  14. Well this game has always intrigued me as the two small Catholic schools of Campbell County do battle in the last regular season game. Since the mid 90's this has been definitely a rivalry, normally 2 really good teams playing. I am shocked when I looked at records. What has happened? Are both team struggling with talent level? Not enough players in Campbell County to allow both schools to be strong? NCC enters the game at 7-21. In looking at their schedule though they have played some pretty top flight teams. Brossart currently stands at 3-23 and on a 20 game losing streak that includes a recent double digit loss to Bellevue. They have Lloyd tonight so I assume they may be 3-24 by game time. Anyone?
