  1. I think Male has the better offense this year with a great RB in Jaylin Bross, big WR’s, and a monster offensive line. I don’t see any D1 players on the Trinity offense. However, the Trinity defense gets the nod with 4 potential D1 players in Ely, Dingle, White and Roberson. They are tough to run on. I’ll give Coach Wolfe a slight coaching edge with his recent dominance in the rivalry. I predict the game will be won with special teams so give me Trinity 17 - Male 14 in a thriller.
  2. CalPreps is projecting a 28-20 Male victory. This feels like a reasonable prediction. I expect a battle. The last time Male was beaten was at home against Saint X.
  3. The DeSales loss to Meade County keeps sticking out to me. Christian Academy appears to be on the improve. I think Christian Academy turns the tables in this one.
  4. X running double reverse passes on 1st down. They have no idea what they’re doing right now. Just lineup and play football. I don’t understand it.
  5. The way Male has struggled against Fern Creek and Manual recently I would give the nod to Trinity as the favorite. Male in 2nd and then a gap down to St X & Manual. I could see St X or Manual upsetting Male but not sure either could beat Trinity this season. If Male can revert back to its early season form then they have a shot at beating Trinity again.
  6. Trinity’s talent is on the defensive side of the ball and BG will have difficulty in scoring. I project a 24-0 Trinity victory tonight.
  7. I’ll admit I can’t explain the clunker that Cincy St X threw up against an average LaSalle team but every team seems to have one game like that. I did notice you didn’t mention games against St Ignatius, Colerain, or Indy Cathedral in your exhibit. Cincy St X’s other blemish is a 3 point loss to Elder which is not a bad loss.
  8. I believe Mike Pfeiffer’s son is basketball only. I don’t believe he played football in 8th grade either.
  9. Many believe 3rd/4th grade tackle football is partly attributable. At an early age some kids prematurely decide that football is not for them. Rumor is that the 3rd/4th grade CSAA tackle league will disband after this year.
  10. Former OC for Trinity Andrew Coverdale put 41 points on the Cathedral with his new team Cincy St X earlier this year. Beatty won’t admit it but Coverdale is missed.
  11. DeSales D line is as good as there is in the state behind only Male and Trinity but their secondary is horrific.
