  1. Justin Powell has committed to Auburn.
  2. Just to close the loop, Jacob has decided to not go on the Global Sports tour in England and Belgium. The timeframe for the tour is too close to the start of the Fall semester of school. He feels this 9 days of time is better spent with his daily basketball workouts and preparation for the coming school year and basketball season. Thanks for all your input/comments. Comment from SnottieDrippen gave Jacob great pause to make sure he gave this careful thought. If the tour had been in stronger basketball countries in Europe (e.g. Spain, France or Germany) he probably would have gone. He felt that the England/Belgium tour would not give him much exposure to the European basketball circuit.
  3. David Simmons is transferring to Campbellsville University, NAIA D1, for 2019-2020 season. This will be his Senior season. David graduated from Henderson County High School in 2015 then played two years (2015-16 and 2016-17) of JUCO at Tallahassee Community College. For the 2015-16 season, David played 30 minutes a game and averaged 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over 33 games. For the 2016-17 season, David played 31 minutes per game and averaged 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds for 28 games. He then played the 2017-18 season at Middle Tennessee State, NCAA D1. He played 17.9 minutes per game and averaged 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds for 32 games. He then transferred to Southern Indiana University (NCAA D2) and redshirted the 2018-19 season. Now he is transferring to Campbellsville University for his senior season, 2019-20. As projected in the above 2015 tweets from sweet16, Texas Ranger, PurplePride92, and Wireman, David will be a starter and a very good player at NAIA D1 Campbellsville.
  4. Global Sports does a lot of high school and middle school events as well. Probably the majority is at those levels. HoopJunkie, thank you for your thoughts.
  5. Has anyone heard anything about Global Sports Academy Organization? My grandson (Jacob King who will be a Junior at Campbellsville University) got an invitation to play on a Goodwill Select Basketball Team of college players that will play semi-pro teams in England and Belgium. This sounds like a great experience but I have concerns about the motives of the organization and the quality of the coaches and the opposition teams. He will have to pay for his travel and hotel, so it is not like a typical select college basketball touring experience. Any thoughts or knowledge is appreciated.
  6. What are the chances that Zion returns to Duke rather than going to a small NBA market?
  7. See Max's stat summary below. Based on the team's record (14 wins 17 losses) and Max's shooting %s, Max is a below average high school shooter on a below average high school team. He only shot 35% for threes and 72% for free throws. As the point guard he took 35 to 40% of the team's shots so he created his own shot but not shots for his teammates. This will have to change at the next level. #11 Maximo Reyes 2018-19 KHSAA Stats Games Shots Attempts Makes % Make Attempts /Game Makes /Game 30 2s 326 178 54.6% 10.9 5.9 30 3s 176 61 34.7% 5.9 2.0 30 FTs 242 174 71.9% 8.1 5.8 30 all shots 744 413 55.5% 24.8 13.8 Max's scoring average per game 23.8
