Our front loader sometimes shreds clothes...From what I can tell they get caught between the drum and the gasket during the spin cycle. Can't even count the number of tshirts I've had torn apart. We will go back to top loader when the front loader goes kaput. Agree on keeping the door open and the detergent dispenser getting moldy.
