  1. Hi All, I realize Belfry-Central will be game of the week on EKB-TV on delayed basis and audio streamed live on WDHR Radio. Is anybody video streaming live in east Kentucky that you are aware of? Thanks in advance, Walk The Plank
  2. Hey Watusi, Hate this cross bracketing. I agree with you . Doesn't seem right playing Central in anything but Championship Game! Any news on Derek Wellman or is it being kept under wraps? Really got our hands full. TWO playoff loses at home total! Your thoughts? Take care, Walk The Plank
  3. Watusi, Your thoughts as usual are right on target! Central tough to beat at home and don't know the status of Wellman! Hensley doing a great job I am totally impressed picking up the slack on offense and defense but more of a tail back than a full back! So far as D-Line coaching staff doing a great job of adjusting, BUT, Belfry eventually gonna get too far behind to get back into game! I don't think anybody gonna hold Belfry to 14, 26 or 28 points! He is already being watched and will be watched like a newborn baby! Wellman wants to play but Coach Haywood will NOT let him play unless he is cleared by doctors then gotta travel to a place in Louisville where they have just lost TWO playoff games BUT I think with or without Wellman Belfry can get it done and I agree with your statement saying Belfry is gonna have to out score their opponents! Really gonna be interesting to see! Haven't scored less than 34 points against 34 points against Huntington, Cabell Midlands and Johnson Central! You have all of the records so what do you think? Have a good one Tusi, Walk The Plank
  4. Ram, An absolutely fabulous read whether you agree or not! Found BGP just searching the web and joined immediately!!! Wish I had found it about 4 or 5 years ago at the beginning of the run instead of probably near the end! With Coach Haywood who knows what will happen! I just know that Coach has taken a team that lost around a thousand pounds of prime Division 1 Beef and still has a good shot at a fifth straight Championship! Been playing football since 1925 at Belfry but until FAH, (Football After Haywood), we had NO idea how to even spell Champions OR Runners Up! Ram, you certainly deserve your title as Director of Football Operations! I don't know how many are on The BluegrassPreps Ranking Staff or where you come up with all of your info, BUT, YOU ARE TRULY THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!! Can't leave you out guru! Whether I win or draw I realize I CAN'T lose because you keep me and everyone else with the best info to be found ANYWHERE!!! Keep up the awesome work!!!!! Nothing but the best, Walk The Plank
  5. Tusi, Sounds like you got to go to the game! What's going on with this changing gears in the second half stuff!I figured like you. Our D-Line was custom made for their Offense and I figured just that til the second half! About the third time we have shut GOOD teams down then! I just can't see where the coaching staff could make that many adjustments! We just seem to turn it up! Are we in that better shape? Seems like smaller and quicker is better WHEN we decide to play ball! Win HAD to help us with BOTH scheduling and confidence! Just the opposite with JC! I still haven't figured how our SOS was so low! We have played some quality teams and I think the odds on favorite to win it all again! Again I think that SOS was a joke! Boyle has been bulldozing teams but who what are their combined win/ loss records? Corbin played a lot of 1-A and 2-A teams and got some home help from the zebrasI think! All they have to do is set their alarm for the semis! If Belfry keeps winning won"t that be at CAM? Central tough at home but have not played but maybe one or two middle of the road 6-A teams! Again, I think after tonight seedings and confidence put Belfry at the top of the pack! Seems like the team is feeding off of each other but why wait til the second half when it could be too late! Have we ever played Boyle? Have they always been 4-A until the past 2-3 years? I think they have won 7 championships, all 4-A. What do you say my friend? With this crazy cross scheduling it's gonna be like a three ring circus! One thing for sure, mention Belfry and everybody sits up and takes notice! We've come a long way!
  6. Hey Alt Cat, Wanna run a couple of things by you!I think this is about the third game Belfry has come alive in the second half against quality competition and it ignites the whole team, especially the undersized D-Line!What gives? A good 'ol you gonna play ball tonight or what? I seem to think it comes from great coaching adjustments BUT something else is lighting a fire under them to play the way they do in the second half! Yes, they are much smaller on the D-Line than the past four years, but they are also quicker and get to the ball carrier much faster! The O-Line is just about as big as last year and I think we get them all back! What do we have from the Middle School coming up? Is anybody in 3-A anywhere as close as JC this year? I think our stock rose a lot with the JC win and JC's stock and confidence rose a bunch!I really think Belfry is probably the odds on favorite to win it now! Boyle kinda scares me but what are the records of the teams they are running over? hopefully we won't have to play Central in Louisville and I don't think Corbin is as strong as advertised! I can't believe they have Belfry so far down when it comes to other schools! A lot of people believe in the SOS they have out but I find it hard to comprehend! Your thoughts?
  7. Hey TomCats1990. You wouldn't by some chance be pulling for JC to help Ashland's ranking and seeding would you? Seriously that was a great win for you guys! Question is, do you think you can do it again? You have a good team this year!
  8. Hey Devil May Care, When it's time for a war you hit the bunker! Offered Coach Haywood super top secret plays but he ran us out of HIS bunker and said to go help JC!I just hope it is a classic! Don't know how many turnovers JC had against Ashland BUT lack of a kicking game did help lose the game. Have they even tried an extra point or field goal this year?
  9. Watusi, Just curious if both teams are pretty well healthy for this game. Belfry's D-Line has really improved and they sucked it up and gave up just four yards against was it Pike County Central or Cabell Midland? Tired and can't remember. I think JC's bigs get tired toward the end of the game and their lack of a placekicker doesn't help them any either. I'm as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs! Everybody knows these last big games are gonna have a big impact on the seedings and who plays where!
  10. Hey everybody, What gives? I finally get home a little early, change to my Halloween Pirate Avitar, start reading and I know less now than what I did when I first joined! I was at a disadvantage to begin with because I was TOTALLY unaware of anything called cross bracketing! I don't know who came up with it but it looks like we are gonna have to go to the system they are using in College Football now! What's up Watusi??? I didn't know the district matchups were all different in Regions 2 and 3! Is the bracket you sent me and I printed out the right one 'Tusi? I'm not being rude to anyone but I do know you know your stuff! All State Baseball yours may be right or even the tweeted one! It appears to be one big mess! What say you guru? The only thing I am pretty sure of is all they need to do is have Corbin set their alarm clock for the semis after everybody else has beaten each other to death! Who's on first? Thanks in advance, Walk The Plank
  11. Watusi, I have really been on the go since last Saturday! I was glad to see those match-ups and hosting info. If you have time could you please give me a "for example" in 3-A?How would that affect this crazy bracket? Does that mean that Sheldon Clark would travel the most distance west to play the toughest western team, then probably Pike County Central next fartherest distance, etc. I don't even know what district they are in now! From what I managed to read and hear it only confuses this 'ole country boy even more! Would Belfry, (if everybody holds serve would Belfry travel to Lexington to take on say Central? Where would Boyle County travel? It's my have the easiest routes! is it true Corbin wouldn't go on the road until the semi-finals where they would finally travel to CAM provided Belfry made it that far? Would you clear this up for me once and for all? Thanks in advance, Walk The Plank
  12. You wouldn't actually have an updated 3-A Tourney Bracket of this mess showing who should play who with the usual suspects instead of for example District 6-Region 2 etc. instead of 3rd place District 6-Region 2 travels to Louisville to take on for example maybe Central would you? It's my understanding Corbin's coach actually traveled to the Cabell Midlands game to watch in person! Any new info on the schedule? Should be some good games! I just don't have a clue on who should play who where! Thanks in advance, Walk The Plank
  13. I lived and worked in the Pond Creek area for SEVERAL years until being transferred seven years ago near Knoxville, TN! As a general rule there will be SOME bootlegged alcohol at just about any game or location. The bigger the game the more alcohol. That would take the fun away for me! I have stated on occasion that Tennessee fans are among the rudest I have found anywhere in any sport and at any level. I thought I had the fortune to attend the Belfry, KY vs. Knoxville Catholic game in Knoxville. They were ranked #1 4-A & Belfry was ranked #1 3-A. Catholic was running Belfry off the field and their "So-Called" coach would NOT substitute! He said in a pre-game interview that he was lacking line size that cost him a Championship the year before and recruited from anywhere and everywhere! Coach Haywood had long since pulled his starters and was furious because Knox Cath had not! A senior for Knox Catholic cracked two ribs on a Belfry Freshman and he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The drunk made a statement that he hoped the kid spent the weekend there and the coach made the statement on the post radio show if they didn't want him hurt they shouldn't have had him in the game! We ALL know Coach Haywood's policy on trying to get a running clock and pulling his starters! I was SO HAPPY to learn that mighty Knoxville Catholic lost out in the SECOND ROUND to a local team they had beaten something like 65-8 during the regular season! Their contract called for them to travel to CAM the next year and and Belfry beat them something like 34-20 and Coach Haywood pulled HIS starters! When Knox Cath didn't pull their starters Coach put his starters back in and we scored THREE quick TD's! That idiot saw the writing on the wall and pulled his starters! Thankfully the series was cancelled, (BY THEM), and I know they went at least TWO years and NO CHAMPIONSHIP while Belfry continued to add to their Trophy Case! Case in point, some people can e rude at the expense of kids alcohol or no alcohol but it only brings out the really bad in already bad people and these Tennessee fans are rude either way! Such a shame don't you think guru? I read!!! This goes on to a certain extent everywhere but NOT to these extremes! I think anyone caught drinking should be permanently banned from all high school sporting events! If they want to drink either stay home and do so OR drink at a bar! Drinking at high school or lower events just shows your stupidity! Have a good one everybody
  14. 35-14 Belfry. FINAL! Six in a row for Belfry! We did well and passed the test guys!
