They did have a lot of kids on the team. We were all joking about their sidelines. They had heaters blowing, a kickers net, and long jackets for the kids. It looked like a college team. We looked over at our sidelines and we had two fire pits burning. LOL. CAL was a very well coached team with some amazing athletes. #33 was impressive especially the fact that he is a freshman. The game was very competitive the first half and then fatigue set in. Walton did not have the depth to compete for 60 minutes with so many players that went both ways. Im sure CAL had many guys going both ways but I noticed my son who only sat out 4 plays the first half was exhausted. Walton will lose some Seniors this year but has a great bunch of underclassman that should do well next year. My son and a few of his friends are on to wrestling. Good luck to CAL and the rest of the teams still making a run at a state title.

Yes, 4 players will have to sit out Friday night for disciplinary reasons. One starter and 3 other players who have limited playing time on Friday nights. The reality is that a few good kids made a few poor choices and have to accept responsibility for their actions. Now on to Plantmanky. Considering there are only a couple wrestlers on the football team, I would get my facts straight before I start the spooing nonsense about what you heard. You could have reached out to multiple people at Walton that you personally know to get the facts before you type such a thing. Myself being one of them. My guess is that you only know one of the wrestlers on the football team. Hopefully he is not the name you were referring to. Heck, you could have sent a PM to "The Sarge". The point is that you could have done multiple things vs. just posting rumors.

You do realize that is your 3rd reference to Chavez beating up cab drivers after a Walton game this year? East jessamine, KCD, and now Holy Cross. I can't figure out who you dislike more. Chavez or Walton. There are people you can talk to get some relief from this resentment. Walton has a tough game on the road next week vs LCA. Win or lose, I hope you will come up with something more original when you proceed to bash them. Good luck to your team this year. I'm sure they are all good kids just like Walton.

I Wonder if Walton remembers that Holy Cross knocked them out of the playoffs last year 13-10. I'm guessing they do.

Thats two weeks in a row with a slow start. Hopefully they will look at the adjustments they made in the second half last night and have a great start against Holmes next week. This team will continue to get better and limit the mental mistakes. My guess is they will figure it out and continue to improve as they did last year.

Great post. I was glad to see WV go for the win. Both teams showed a lot of heart.
