UK and UofL offer scholarships to only the elite players in each class but put most of their energy into recruiting outside the state. They are happy to welcome strong in-state talent as walk-ons because they will work their tales off to prove themselves for the possibility of a scholarship and being part of an in-state power 5 team. They pay in-state tuition and bring their KEES money and find a way to make it work because they WANT to play....

Maybe. Or possibly Moore and Mayer split the majority of the votes and VanCleave "snuck up" and took home the honor. It would be interesting to see the vote totals but pretty sure they won't be made public.

They had him up for a game-day visit. They already had a commitment from a very good QB out of Arizona who did sign with Purdue. Don't think they are taking any more 2018 QBs.

Bohn had a great visit to Lexington Saturday and is excited about the UK opportunity but has not accepted the offer yet. He will be visiting Louisville on Feb.3rd. Also has a PWO offer from Austin Peay. Other serious interest has come from NAIA/D2/D3 (Georgetown, Hanover, Centre, Marian, Ohio Dominican, Denison, Case Western)
