Verbal Commits | D1 Players Transferring in 217 This is last year's complete list of transfers. Giving a quick look, I see quite a few mid-majors with 2, 3, 4, 5, and even 6 players leaving. This is college basketball today.

He announced he will transfer about two weeks ago. He will be a grad transfer wherever he lands.

It may explain some of the transfers recently. Davis is a 6'6" guard who sat out last year with injury at Alabama and has one year of eligibility left. He tweeted out "wassup Highland Heights" over the weekend. Could be on his way.

Correct. I should have said applications instead of actual enrollment.

UMBC saw a similar increase in Twitter followers overnight after they beat Virginia. Other years, you hear about increases in enrollment (particularly in-state) when teams make a first appearance, Cinderella run, or win a title. Sports teams frequently give a boost to a university--don't tell the faculty that though, they don't think sports help them.

Everyone will get their 30-36 games in. Not a big deal. Besides, their coming off playing 5 games in 3 days. That's a full week worth of games.

Early in the year and bad weather. Sometimes you have to throw a bullpen or you might not throw for a week. With the game being very questionable to be played, he might have thrown on the side a day or two before and therefore would not be available. Nothing to read into it.

They didn't run up the score. St. Francis is the Loyola Marymount of women's basketball. Their coach wanted to know what the tournament record was for 3-PTA (they were 10 of 57, they got the record). St. Francis shot it within 10 seconds every possession. They pressed UConn the entire game. UConn did not run a fastbreak in the second half. UConn scored on almost every possession in the first half--they shot over 70% and rebounded...

I agree with the Wooden to Geno comparison in terms of the era defining their success but both are/were great coaches and because of that, there is no reason to think that they would not be successful in any era or with either gender. Obviously, neither would have the same level of success in a different era or with the other gender but both would have relative success.

So, Wooden wasn't a great coach either?

He did lose his starting spot at the very end of the season for about 5 games but his PT didn't suffer, so I just thought it was a strategy on Brannen's part. I was told that his family is very vocal (and at times not very happy) in the middle section on the bench side of BB&T Arena.

I think this would be a pretty even match up. CCH has a point guard who would be an even match up, a D1 guard who would likely be the best player on the court, and a D1 big who would give TMC trouble inside. The other CCH players are solid and would not be at a huge disadvantage. I think TMC has a small edge with strength and athleticism just because of their age but like most D3 teams, they are not a big team. I'd love to see this just to...

The purpose is fun, I guess. What's the purpose of most of the threads on this website? Sexism? Come on.

Are you new here?:lol2: No one will ever know for sure but there are plenty of examples of similar circumstances given within this thread, even one from Geno himself. Include the FACTS of the speed and strength of high school boys vs world class women athletes and it's a pretty logical conclusion.
