This win just made more impressive by the fact that Wright State (like Oakland) fails to leave Wisconsin unscathed. NKU back in first place tie. Huge weekend!

Solid team effort today with four in double figures and some nice contributions off of the bench. Great weekend for NKU. Blowout win at Milwaukee and an impressive win today at Green Bay. Pulling off the Wisconsin sweep was something that Oakland couldn't do and we'll see if Wright State can do it tonight.

My friend had less than flattering things to say about the Dixie coach but I have not seen him personally. He believed that he should have received a "T" the time he was warned and then if the warning meant anything, then he should have received one several other times. I was told that Listerman did receive a "T" and there was a separate play with an intentional foul as well.

Seems pointless. Before, they would just walk up to you and say, "Coach, that's enough" and you knew to stop or you were going to get one.

A friend texted me this from the Highlands vs. Dixie game. His description will have to do and it makes the general point. Dixie's head coach was "losing his mind" over a call (repeatedly, apparently) and the ref blows his whistle and assesses him with a warning. Highlands' head coach, later in the game, is "yelling about as much as the Dixie coach, minus the theatrics" and gets a technical without a warning. I saw a warning given at a game...

Impressive win for NKU on the road. Offense is clicking with Sharpe as their new weapon. McDonald 25 points, 12 rebounds Holland 19 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds Sharpe 19 points, 5-6 on 3-pt

Just a reaction to the Brady hand injury. Vegas correcting the line, not the public betting.

Now you're wrong too. Initially he said colleges lines NEVER move anywhere close to 7-10 points. I provided two examples of lines moving that much AND there were multiple other line movements of 6 points (which I would say is "anywhere close" to 7) but I'll leave that out. Also, there is nowhere near 100 lined games per week so it is much more than 1%.

They got crushed last year. The public loves favorites and big names, so they were heavy on New England.

Then you have been around much or haven't paid much attention. It doesn't happen on the Power Conferences but happens every week on the small conference games.

Terrible FT shooting down the stretch. Too many live-ball turnovers and charges. Too much zone defense but I guess the foul trouble dictated that. Big picture, it's the 4th road game in 5 games and they're shorthanded. Vanderbilt showed flashes and great play-making ability. I'm still looking forward to this team at full strength.

WVU is the best pressure defense team in the nation and have one of the best home courts in the nation but are not a great offensive team. Horrible offense down the stretch. Huge win for Kansas after WVU had control of the first 32 minutes of the game.

They had a 6 game contract with CW 25 in Cincinnati. They still have 2 or 3 of those games left and the Oakland game on ESPNU or ESPN2. Almost all others are on ESPN3.

A lot of students left after the halftime recognition. There were a couple hundred of them. Bad weather no shows on tickets sold were probably a majority. I'm with you guys--probably 2500 in the arena. The game itself was a dud. NKU didn't shoot particularly well but still managed to open up a 25 point lead. Faulkner and Sharpe both played well in the same game off of the bench. If that can continue, they will be very tough to beat in...

I guess the overall point is that they are setting the line against the general public who is not very good at picking winners. I'd be more interested in knowing this: how many of the 60% of games that didn't fall within 7 points of the line did Vegas win money?

That really doesn't tell me much. If the line is 3 and a team wins by 13, the line was 10 points off BUT if 70% of the money was on the other side, Vegas won big. This is meaningless. The idea of the public shaping the line is kind of blown up too. Only 6 games per SEASON move over 3 points, so how much shaping are they doing? Typically, very little. The impressive part is buried at the end. Since 2002, 1463 dogs covered, 1415...

This is not always the case. There are reverse line movements. If 80% of the money is on the favorite but the line goes down, this is a sure sign that smart money, or large wagers made by single individuals or betting syndicates, has come in on the underdog. It can many times be about "smart" money more than the amounts. This shows even more the genius of Vegas.

The NBA has full-time officials because it's a 9 month season. The NFL doesn't because they work 20 days per year. NCAA officials lie somewhere in between, so if you want to make them full-time, great. Officials in all leagues are criticized, so just making them full-time doesn't automatically solve that.

How would you rate the officiating in the NFL? They seem to do ok with "part-time" officials. NCAA officials receive plenty of training. What do you think making them full-time will accomplish? They know the rules. They all have years of experience. As far as money goes, do you know how much the "big time" officials make per game? How much more would you want to pay them?

Not sure of the number of the definition but it deals with how you land--both feet at the same time or a 1-2 step. Both feet--either can be pivot. 1-2 step--first one is the pivot. ALL THE TIME, you see players on the perimeter catching in a 1-2 step and then pivoting on the second foot, catching on one foot and then hoping into a shot or triple threat, or catching then hoping and then still pivoting. Have I answered to your satisfaction?
