  1. To confirm your concerns, no starters played after Q1 and the team was required to make (5) passes in the half court before scoring. It is unfortunate;however, this was a required District game. It didn't help that Atherton's second leading scorer was out too.
  2. Actually because it is one of few long standing girls tournaments left..since 1976.
  3. I agree with your statements and would like to remind everyone that a similar situation occurred in the 2017 State tournament, giving Mercer County a ‘favorable’ draw thru the Semis with the others powers in the lower bracket. While i question the drive by Mercer it is no different than when SHA played in December and barely arrived at all due to an unexpected ice storm. Bottom line is that these games are to prepare for March, not today.
  4. And I'll say this.. nobody believed me earlier when I said Campbell Co would be top 4 in the State early -- received a bunch a laughs early -- however,.. no one is laughing now. Great start and expect great finish come February-March.
  5. When summer ball counts on the 'record'.. then we'll talk. Until then, it doesn't matter. The season does and as I recall .. CC is 0-2 vs. SHA. Just saying..
  6. Today.. yes but it is a long season :walk: to get to the Sweet Sixteen.
  7. Nice to see Valkyries bounce back from Mercer Co. game. Was a little surprised by Eastern given that the team had beaten (2) other pre-season ranked teams -- Mercy and DuPont Manual.
  8. Bottom line... JCPS does not care about Title IX sports... additional revenue but not a priority. Each school administration can determine the 'rules' to attract student athletes. Those schools are making it a priority. With the new interim super, he understands but not a priority -- ensuring education rates improve is. JMO
  9. Possibly.. but honestly feel that CAL's success relies heavily on Shelbi rebounding and scoring. At some points during the game, it resembled Moses parting the Red Sea with Shelbi sprinting in to grab the ball. Part of the 'gameplan' but not necessarily set up for specifically this game.
  10. I was there on Monday... Lots of 'bricks' thrown up and CAL blocked out at all positions and allowed Shelbi to go in and get most of the rebounds. Fern Creek only had one true post player to challenge.
  11. There were actually 6 quarters of game action... Q5 Murray 12 SHA 14 Q6 Murray 19 SHA 16
