  1. Genetics can play into ACL injuries. The fact that both siblings have torn their ACL, I would lean towards genetics than over use.
  2. And again SK falters late in the season and the season ends too early in the Regional tournament. The season started with such promise, ends much earlier than it should. As I said before the season started this will continue to be SK's MO until there is a change at the top, which will not happen for reasons that have been mentioned many times. Congrats to Gallatin County and good luck to them and WV.
  3. NewYorkLife, if you are talking about SK, the current coach is a school administrator. He is going nowhere until we wants to, so....
  4. I agree with HSBballfan24 as that has been SK's history. Sitting back and watching this season unfold as so many of SK's prior seasons have gone. As I said before the season starts I think the administration needs to change.
  5. Not sure why a little below the belt? Nothing personal. My opinion they have had many good teams under this coaching administration and they have not made it out of the region, and sometimes not out of the district. My question is, would he still be coaching at SK if he was also not an administrator. It is a valid question to be asked.
  6. While the Scott County running game is going to do well against SK, I look for the Scott County receivers have a field day. Afraid this could end up getting ugly for SK. Have seen both teams play this season, and this is where the weak schedule SK continues to play will catch up with them! My heart wants SK to win, but my head says Scott County easily advances.
  7. For SK to make it to state, the coaching staff will have to do much better than they have done in a number of years. SK has had good teams in the past and never done well in the regional tournament. The one constant among those teams was the coaching staff, also a school administrator. Until that changes, I do not see SK making it out of the regional.
  8. So what has happened to NDA since the Lex Cath tournament? Have they been hit by the injury bug or is there something else? I have not had a chance to see them this season yet, but paid close attention to their results. They had several quality wins the first half of the season including beating SK twice! NDA is always the measuring stick all other NKY programs measure themselves against.
  9. Could a coach have influenced whether a card was issued???
  10. How come 51 and 64 were held out of the 1st quarter of the game? It seemed intentional because they, and their line mates, seemed to make a big deal when they came on in the middle of a series at the start of the 2nd quarter.
  11. In my opinion SK will never get to the regional finals until a change is made on who is on the sideline. SK has had several teams with lots of talent over the years, but the coaching always lets them down when the lights started shining brighter.
  12. I know this is a boys basketball thread, but remember the redistricting of these schools effects multiple sports. I very much doubt the coaches of SK's ladies soccer and basketball teams would want to move to the 9th. Those programs, especially ladies soccer have an easy path straight to the regional tournament. My guess that is why the SK ladies soccer coach wanted the SK job was because he has a better than average chance to get to the regional finals, and chance at state, almost every year. So while fans of SK, like me, may like to see them in the 9th for the local match-ups and bragging rights. I would guess the coaches of many of the sports effected would rather stay in the 8th.
  13. I an anxious to see Scott County in person this Friday night at LaSalle. But at this point in the season I think Scott County has played a harder schedule than SK. I am a SK supporter and I am scratching my head how SC is ranked higher than SK.
