  1. Luken leads NCC with 12 and Kunkel leads the Jags with 13.
  2. 37-13 Cooper at the half. AK with 22 and Burries with 10.
  3. McNeil with a big game, I'll take the Jags by 15. Any idea how long AK will be out?
  4. I was a little shocked, not because of resume as Coach Bush has a solid coaching resume, but just because it was not a name I was hearing. I am very happy as a Jaguar parent with the hire and glad to hear all of the other coaches as well as some former ones are returning. I think Coach Bush will do very well for the Cooper program. I think the new coach at Beechwood and Coach Bush have both gotten hired into great situations.
  5. I have updated information from a reliable source that the jv coaches resigned before the opening. Therefore it was clearly not because they didn't get promoted.
  6. Agree very good family. I had the pleasure to coach his brother Alex. I wish Alex would have kept playing and pitching, he had some pitching potential as well.
  7. VIA twitter, Tyler is going to continue his education and play baseball for the NORSE. Tyler is a great young pitcher with a nasty curveball. He is an even better kid that I have greatly enjoyed watching over the last several years.
  8. I am not sure if the JV coach put in or not. I was told by a player that he was told by an administrator that the JV coaches quit as well. He asked why and was told because they were not being promoted to varsity. I will say, even though it is hard to believe, I have gotten misinformation from a high school kid before. He was also told that the interview process would be at the end of September.
  9. I am a parent of a Cooper player and do not understand the few comments about parents being an issue or his downfall. Maybe I was in the dark but I did not see any "major" parent issues with Coach Collins. I can say that he was definitely not well liked by at least the majority of the parents. As mentioned in another post he did not communicate, or even respond at times to a wave or hello. I did not see anything at the ninth region tournament game other than one parent that was upset over his kid not playing and sitting the bench. The only other issue I had seen all year was at CCH in front of his family a parent had yelled out a negative comment when he illegally substituted with a DH in place. I felt really bad because I know that both of his kids heard the comment. I wish Coach Collins the best and had no real issue with him. Hopefully he will find a better situation for himself if that is what he desires and Cooper can find a great candidate to lead their program.
  10. The team was notified this afternoon that Coach Collins has resigned. Cooper returns a lot of talent, should be an attractive job.
  11. You are correct, no outs followed by two k's and a ground out to Ollier at short.
  12. Reid for Cooper and Hoeh for CC both go the distance. Both teams had chances, Reid got out of a 2nd and 3rd jam in the 6th with no damage.
  13. My son is a baseball player and has suffered a torn labrum in his right (throwing) shoulder two years ago and another one in his left playing football this last fall. Dr. Greiwe was his surgeon for both. The first one was in his throwing shoulder so we were advised to do rehab over surgery. He has recovered fine but I do think he lost velocity because of the injury. It was about 8 months before he really was mentally ready to throw hard again. The last injury was in his left and we did get surgery. It healed pretty quick and after a few months he was swinging the bat without issue. In fact, he states his shoulder feels much stronger than before the injury. To sum up, I would trust the doctor since they deal with these all the time.
  14. Great pitching duel between Phillips from Cooper and Craddock from Conner. Cooper scored in the first when Bridley doubled following two walks. Conner lone run was a passed ball after a runner reached on error. Jaguars win it on a very tough/controversial call at the plate. Austin Dunn grounded to second with bases loaded. Umpire called the runner at home safe, stating the catcher pulled his foot early. Good win for the Jags. WP Reid LP Craddock
