  1. Ryle does the wheel bunt coverage 4 times in a row. Left the whole infield open for any ground ball to get through....and 2 hard hit ground balls did. Bad defense strategy. Good game to that point. #getkrumpsto1000
  2. Game called for rain. My guess they will try and finish the game tomorrow at Ryle before they play saturdays game. Not sure the point of this game as it was added late and with Ryle having a district game on Sunday at 5 pm vs boone. I would imagine any coach would want all their pitching available for Sunday leaving slim pickings to throw against the Cov Cath powerful bats. Could the purpose of these games be to pad wins? I thought the Ryle coach played for krumps....hmmm?!?!?
  3. There are similar situations at other nky schools. You can take the same thing written for cov cath and just change the coach name and school. Coaching techniques of 25 years ago do not match the game today or more importantly the players of today. All you have to do is look on twitter and see where coaches are posting about their team in an effort to help the kids get to the next level. They are doing that for the kids. I think some of these old coaches forgot that the game is for the kids to learn and grow as young men and prepare them for life. This involves encouragement and a coach that respects their players.
  4. Ryle Vs Cov Cath was a well pitched game by both young pitchers (10 Strikeouts Each). You have to give credit that the defense for Cov Cath saved the game for them. Two diving plays that saved runs. First inning by Cov Cath Second Basemen...Diving play in the hole to make the third out and save at least 1 run. Then in the 5th inning 2 outs and two on, Ryles number 4 hitter hits a shot to ally between center and right....but the speed and effort by Cov Cath's Center fielder (McGinnes?) made the difference with a diving catch. You cant teach effort and hustle. Congrats to Cov Cath. You can see the game saving diving play here
  5. How many of these JV teams bring Varsity players down just for this tournament? What are your thoughts on Juniors coming down to play on JV just for this tournament?
  6. Ryle beats Conner 7 - 0 Great pitching and timely hitting the key to Ryle's win.
