  1. Steve Wright trying to coach as many teams in the state as possible before he hangs it up? lol. Steve has a proven track record as a winning coach, but his stay is short to say the least.
  2. From an interest level, and revenue standpoint it makes sense trying to get a local team like Danville back on the schedule for Lincoln Co.
  3. Talent-wise, if everyone stays put which is a big IF they're preseason 1 atleast top 3 in the region. It will be interesting to see who applies.
  4. He's in the first year of a three year contract. Not sure legally, how he wouldn't survive if he can take the heat.
  5. Sad day for the profession. High school coaches need multi-year contracts with buyouts. The ability to axe someone year to year is absurd. The court is named after the man...
  6. Frederick Douglass and Taylor Co. for most attractive. My why is because they're proven winning jobs, and their talent pool and facilities are upper tier. Least attractive would be Lee Co. due to location and chances of winning.
  7. Somerset beat DCA in region because of gameplan, execution and some luck. Not because of individual talent. Almost all their shots came off an executed set play designed to get an open 3. Lincoln should be back as well. Should be another great season with a lot of talent coming back in region. DCA will be right back in it for sure because their size and natural ability is overwhelming in this rural region.
  8. Probably for a different topic, but you throw in Lincoln Co., Southwestern and Somerset and you have your top 8 right there in Region 12.
  9. Danville Christian returns two veteran guards and two 6"11 impact players. They're state ranked caliber team talent wise.
  10. I would add Carson Fraley for the Maroons. He was banged up a lot of the season with knee issues, but seems to be looking more like himself the last 2 weeks of season. He's a bully of a PG, that is physical at the rim and a really good passer. They compliment him well with some capable 3 PT shooting around him. You're spot on with Blankenship and Anderson. Quality players for them this season.
