  1. I do not know if this is fact or not, but apparently the NCAA has insurance in place to cover the cost of total revenues if they were to have of a cancellation. I had no idea that it was even possible to have insurance for a tournament of this size. A rainy day fund they have in place would help supplement the lost revenue for the schools. But even if that's true, I'm not sure how they would determine how much each conference is awarded since I believe it's based on how many games each team plays. A Yahoo writer had some details on it. Twitter And yes, if they carry this down to the Kentucky Sweet 16, they'll really be hurting from the missed revenue. Sure hope they have something in place for protection against an empty Rupp Arena.
  2. I assume you are referencing the questionable foul call at the end of regulation. I thought it was a foul but I can also see the refs letting that one go. IMO however, foul or no foul, the game was lost on free throws. Tennessee can't go 11/22 from the line in regulation and expect to win this late in the season. It's just like PJ's 12 missed free throws last year in the Sweet 16 vs Kansas State when we lost by 3.
  3. Isn't that crazy? It's hard to believe. And 40 years since their last SEC Tournament Championship. I really thought this was the year they put it all together and finally broke through, either by winning the SEC or at the very minimum making the Elite 8. I'm obviously not a Vol fan but I wonder how the fans look at the season with the talent that they had this year? Given their history, I would think that they would view this as a successful season. But on the other hand, given Williams and Schofield were back, I can also see how fans would view it as a disappointment given they didn't take home any hardware from the SEC tourney or big dance.
  4. I just wanted to say thanks to all of your for your advice! I'll let you know how things go!
  5. Best of luck to you! You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through the surgery and rehab. You got this! I've had my fair share of health issues I had and for some reason, most of them have come during March Madness. It may sound silly, but UK was a big help in getting me through the chemo and surgeries. For those 2-3 hours a day, I forgot about the hell I was going through and could have a little escape. I hope PJ and the Cats will be in Minneapolis the weekend of your surgery and can do the same for you.
  6. I don't post often on here but I was hoping there might be someone in the medical insurance field that may be able to help. I would like to try and have my medical insurance cover some extensive dental work. Why do I think they should? Growing up I had near perfect teeth, no braces, good bite, only 1 cavity. Then life through me a curveball. I was diagnosed with cancer and would go on to relapse and then develop a different cancer- 3 diagnoses in 5 years. The chemo obviously takes a large toll on the body as the effects are most likely lifelong. I will most likely continue to develop more issues as I get older but that's the tradeoff. Those perfect teeth, not so perfect anymore. Chemo and the immunosuppression destroyed my mouth. I couldn't properly care for my teeth and gums teeth for 3 months due to risk of infection. Ive had 6 teeth extracted, 4 that have just cracked and broke off due to the deterioration. And of course there's more that are right on their way to crack or break. Eventually my teeth will be infected most likely. Can't go through life with just gums and some broken off teeth. I'll need dental implants and they do not come cheap. I've read $3K-$5K per tooth. Also saw another approach rather than implants, All on Four implants that run $25K-$45K. You guessed it, no way I can afford that. So I want to try and have my medical insurance cover the extensive work but I'm not sure how I would do that. What I will need to submit this claim to medical insurance? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!!
  7. Obviously, there is no place for racism in college football with our country being so divided right now. I think it was September ? when Fields was called the racial slur by a player. And it was reported and investigated very quickly after the verbal abuse. My question is, is there a rule that prohibits student athletes from transferring mid-season? As opposed to waiting for winter break. I only recall transfers following the Fall semester like Quade when he transferred to Washington for b-ball. I was definitely not a student athlete  but I had to transfer mid-semester for health reasons. I was able to enroll and take a couple 8 week courses the second half of the semester so I could earn a few credit hours. But I'm not sure if student-athletes have that option. Good on NCAA to grant the young man his waiver. Good job Emmert.
  8. Wow that is a crazy stat!! Just doesn't matter how many they win, who they lose to, how many players are banged up, come playoff time Patriots figure out a way to get it done nearly each and every time.
  9. SEC opener on the road coming off that UOfL game, easy to see a letdown game from the Cats. Honestly surprised we made it as close that we did in the last few minutes. We’re young and still learning plus it was most the Cats first SEC trip. We’ll be fine come March, as is the case nearly every year.
  10. Michigan - 10-2. Have to win 2/3 between @ ND, @ MSU, @ OSU imo. PSU, Wiscy @ home will be tough. UK - 7-5 is pretty optimistic with the schedule they have but with their players, they should be able to get to that.
  11. Vanderbilt is staying in the draft. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he can stay healthy. Happy for the kid to chase his dreams but bummed that we didn't get to see a full healthy season out of him.
  12. I hate to lose him but I'll be rooting for him. I would like to see him transfer to a contender, a team that has a shot at their conference title and/or CFP. I was happy to see Jeff Badet join a contender in Oklahoma and I hope Ware ends up in a similar situation.
  13. Glad to see the Cats pull out a win when they didn't make ANY three pointers and Davidson. We shot very well from the FT line. Has to be the best performance from the line that we have had all year. I didn't really care about the streak to be honest. It was cool but I'm glad it ended during a game that we won. I knew it was long but I didn't realize it was from the year I was born! Come ready to play Saturday. Buffalo looked tough tonight.
  14. Take care of business today and we should have a easier road to the championship assuming Bama doesn't blow their 15 point lead in the last 8:31. Sexton is looking like Kemba Walker from his 2011 postseason run right now.
