  1. #5, huge hit on receiver. Guess it was targeting. Kinda got Caldwell fired up. Refs have made a lot of holding calls on Mayfield too. Which is pretty unusual at War Memorial.
  2. I wouldn’t write off Caldwell so easy. The only 3A team from the west that has beaten Caldwell the last 3 years has been ETown. If Caldwell can make it to travel to Central it just might be a game! Lot of talented players on both sides of the ball. Caldwell has 21 seniors that wants that title in 3A. Caldwell only has 2A titles and will be dropping back down in class next year.
  3. Tigers 7 braves 14 Tigers. Rush 11-51 yds. Pass 10-16 59 yds 1 Td 3 ints 2 fumbles Braves Rush 25-117 yds 1 Td Pass 3-8 63 yds. 1 Td O ints 1 fumble
  4. Lol, Caldwell not a great team, just better than PT. Caldwell will lose to Mayfield, and Boyle County since Etown is not as good as they have been the last 3 yrs. But thanks for the complement!
  5. Here are some facts! Caldwell is better! PT had ball over 36 mins, and roughly 80 plays and still couldn’t score more points to win. Why not say Tigers defense was a beast and hard hitting, that may have caused injuries. Lastly, PT hasn’t beaten Caldwell since Caldwell moved up to 3A. Those are facts, and yes I’m a Caldwell fan, who thinks There are a lot of excuses on the loss! Thanks Rocket
  6. It should be a good game for sure. Hopefully Trel Riley can play after injury tonight. It will be an intriguing game with the Jaggers connection.
  7. Different year same old story for Caldwell. Mayfield never has to play a down to win. It’s in the players heads. Heck, it’s in the whole towns heads. The good news for the Tigers is, they get to watch film of how a good team shows you your weaknesses. The Tigers will have two weeks to get healthy and prepare for either E’town or the blue tornadoes. Lucky for Caldwell, only one team of the top 7 is in the path to Lexington.
  8. Swept two years straight then. This is second year Caldwell has been in 3A district 1, and haven't lost a district game so, I'm guessing they will keep winning the awards until they lose.
  9. For 3A District 1 yes Caldwell Coach and QB won. Which is well deserved. In class 3A in the west Burns is for sure the best QB.
  10. Caldwell got Coach of year David Barnes Player of year Shane Burns QB
  11. Not to be rude, but sometime the truth hurts. Bowling Green can just keep starters in street clothes, and just play JV and Freshman, yet still have running clock at halftime.
  12. Congrats to Mayfield on great win tonight. Well played team ball. Receivers are fast, definitely the fastest team Caldwell has played all year. Championship program that shows. Amazing how that small school produces the talent year after year. The adjustments the cards made for second half had the tigers confused. The west will for sure have 2 teams holding the final trophy (mayfield and bowling green). Matter of fact KHSAA can go ahead and mail those two teams their trophies, it's over in 2A & 5A.
  13. IMO, this game might be good in first half. Think cards win game by 14 or so points. Especially being senior night, I'm guessing. Caldwell always wanted to beat mayfield really bad because they were in same district and never could. Plus that game was like the championship game because mayfield was usually the last game the Tigers played for many years. Back when only two teams went to playoffs, it was normally mayfield eliminating Caldwell and every other team! But, since the two teams have been in different classes and Caldwell has been playoff relevant the last 6 years, this game hasn't meant as much. Kind of sad. The game needs to be played at middle of the year.
