  1. Mayfield and Glenbard won't be easy. Graves has a large group of their offense returning including a strong line. Could give McCracken some trouble this year.
  2. I agree. I just know the parents/boosters were upset with Coach Rogers and the offense he ran, and players started threatening to quit. The offense Coach Duncan runs is quite similar. Not the spread offense Tilghman craves.
  3. Anyone a bit nervous about the offense he runs? He's a coach that coaches the wishbone and the PT faithful we're very upset with Coach Rogers and his offense and it not bringing out kids. That's my only concern.
  4. Heard today he can make roughly 70-75K at McCracken. then he can take a % of his Mayfield retirement now and make $120K/year. And since it's a classified job at another school, he doesn't have to sit out a certain amount of time. He can work right away. As a Tilghman guy, I can't win on this scenario. But that would be great for those stangs.
  5. Next year will be the 5th year of the rivalry. All five years of the rivalry have featured a new head coach. Jack Haskins, Mike Rogers, Shawn Jackson, Kurt Barber, and the new McCracken coach.
  6. One thing is for sure. McCracken just hired an achieved girls soccer coach from Texas, a good boys soccer coach from Texas that just won a regional championship, a wrestling coach from Texas that seems to be getting the wrestling program in the right direction, and Jackson came from Georgia. All that to say that McCracken has shown they're looking nationally for their coaches and I'd be shocked if their next head coach is from anywhere around here. Their track record is looking for proven coaches from other states.
  7. Excellent review. McCracken has certainly asserted themselves as top in the region for this week. Their defense has been stout. I also love Marshall County. If they make it a half court game, they are so tough to beat. I am very down on Paducah Tilghman. I saw the same ol' undisciplined basketball on Friday night against Christian County that I've witnessed the last several years. Had very high hopes for them but even our win against Caverna was mediocre. All that said, you hit the nail on the head. I put Mayfield in top tier (I think their game against Graves was an outlier). McCracken, Marshall, Graves and Mayfield are the top tier teams. Paducah Tilghman and Calloway County are second tier. Then the rest.
  8. Tilghman still has a LONG way to go to be where I want them to be, but PT will roll Fort Campbell. Tough times right now on the base for the Falcons.
  9. It's not even a four year program yet. I'd say McCracken is doing VERY well for being a three and a half year program. I know I wish my son had played there. They'll be a very good program in the years to come.
