  1. Yes, will take a minimum of 3 scores to win for the hounds IMO.
  2. Mayfield was fastest team Corbin played so far. Central is fast also so Hounds will need to limit big plays to win.
  3. Redhounds schedule: played 8 teams with a winning record. Teams on their schedule with 101 wins and 59 losses. Central schedule: played 7 teams with winning record. Teams on Jackets schedule had 75 wins and 80 losses. Not that those numbers will matter come Friday night but with the exception of St.X the Corbin schedule to me looks stronger paper.
  4. You spot on toothpick, both teams have a lot of work to do. Neither team looked like state champs to me.
  5. I thought that Mayfield was surprised by the speed of the hounds on both sides of the ball. From my viewpoint that was the difference in the game. Offenses pretty evenly matched but defense and special teams especially the punt game was all hounds!
  6. Not knocking Beechwood at all with my post about our D. The Tigers are respected throughout KY as a perineal power in 1A. My hounds are just trying to get back to that level and I know this bunch has more talent than I have seen since Corbin's glory days. It's a special group and Coach Haddix is about to get them firing on all cylinders on offense, our defense has been the show to this point.
  7. This is the best defense the hounds have put on the field in decades! I've been watching for 30 years. They are Fast, strong, and have a nose for the ball. It ain't the size of the dog, it's the size of the fight in the dog. Hounds win big!
  8. Redhounds defense will be tested by Whitley's passing game.
  9. Yes he is special no doubt. Best player to come through Corbin in a very long time. The team really rally's around him but so far have been able to weather the storm when he gets in foul trouble. Going to be a fun season to watch.
  10. Redhounds beat Lexington catholic at home already but it was close until the end. Not sure we are a top 16 yet but have the best team we have had for some time now. Played in a hostile environment on the road last night at south laurel in a district rivalry game and our kids didn't never blinked at the pressure.
  11. Hounds off to a good start this season. Was a great electric atmosphere at South tonight fun to watch!
  12. Also this 2016 Redhound team is the best I have seen on defense in decades. They are not big physically but the most athletic group that I have watched in a long time, the defense sets the tone and are relentless in bringing pressure. However they are very similar to the cardinals in statue and athleticism so that's why I believe it will be a very close game!
  13. D line makes the hounds go. Evans has a motor and is very hard to block. D ends Davis and Sevier are exceptional at pressuring the QB. I think this will be low scoring game with one or two big plays making the difference. Hounds 14-7 in a battle!!
