  1. Well he’s at Holmes now. As my old man used to say, “it’s easy to throw stones from behind a computer screen.”
  2. You have absolutely way to quantify who has most talent. You're just spouting hatred towards programs that you know nothing about. Probably get all of your information from a Ryle defector who's kid wasn't good enough to start so they moved elsewhere. If Ryle played Beechwood's schedule the past 10 years, they'd probably would have won over 90% of their games, most wins with running clocks. I suspect you'd be on here complaining they don't play anyone.
  3. You could certainly make that point, but you might change your mind if take in consideration their strength of schedule. This year, Ryle is playing 5 teams in the top 25 of Calpreps (4 of which are out of district games). Ryle is ranked #37. That means they’re decent underdogs in 5 of their games. That’s pretty normal for Ryle. Other teams in NKY choose to schedule differently. Take Beechwood as an example. They’re most likely favorites in all but one (maybe 2) games. I’d say heavy favorites in all but 2 games. That’s pretty normal for Beechwood. Ryle’s “talent” is good enough to win 9-10 games vs Beechwood’s schedule for sure. But does that help prepare them vs top 6A comp? Does playing better comp increase their kids exposure and possibly receive more college scholarship offers? Generally speaking, I think Ryle has very good NKY talent but average 6A talent. We’re comparing apples and oranges.
  4. That’s not what I was implying. Conch made a statement saying Ryle’s coaches waste more talent than any team in NKY. But yet, they’ve put over 50 kids into college football programs the past 10 years. That doesn’t strike me as wasting talent.
  5. Who is Beechwood’s best college football player in the past 10 years? With all of their parades and accomplishments they must have an army of successful college players, correct?
  6. I played in NKYFL and recall the same thing. I suspect population changes have evened the playing field. Better #’s usually leads to better teams.
  7. Union Raiders have had multiple teams that had a running clock on the Spartans every time they played. Spartans are a great organization but their days of dominating that league are long behind them.
  8. Nope, I’ll be at the Bengals game but one of my Beechwood buddy is. He told me 7:00. Should be a good game.
  9. Frosh starters score was 7-6 Highlands before the backups came in. Lorenzen looked good as a TE. Should be a good game this season. Lorenzen came in w/ backups at QB and was the best player on the field. Had a really good run and threw the ball well.
