  1. Adorable comeback. Enjoy being in the minority with the officiating. You're complaining about calls from weeks ago and basically calling it karma. It was a good game, and could have been a great one had some calls gone a different way. Conner played their heart out and deserved better. Congrats to covcath and good luck tomorrow night.
  2. My previous comment was directed at this non sense. Sorry my phone was acting up and wouldn't let me quote
  3. No question covcath is more talented, but that was a poorly reffed game. Conner was right there. Congrats to both teams, and very proud to be a cougar.
  4. They wanted a foul on cvh becaus he dribbles with his off hand in the chest of the defender
  5. Congrats to covcath and the 3 refs on the win today. That was awful.
  6. Spencer dribbled off covcath leg but who knows what the ref was actually watching.
  7. And Conner is still right there with the supposed best team in the state
  8. These refs are awful. Covcath has more talent, BUT these refs are some of the worst I've seen. Every covcath shot is gotten off thanks to a push off.
  9. I couldn't agree more with what you're saying, and I'm hoping it is one for the ages. This Conner team is fun to watch.
  10. I've also already paid for my ticket to sunday's games, and the thought of watching Conner V CCH & NCC/Cooper V Holy Cross/Dixie at that price is fine by me too. Some really solid basketball will be played on Sunday.
  11. I mean paying to park MAY be a bit much, BUT $8 to watch TWO games is a fair price IMO. Got to watch my alma mater (Conner) last night AND the #1 team in the state play in one night and I spent $13. Not to mention Goetz and Snapp in losing efforts were fun to watch and are really nice players. For 3 hours of hoops, I can't say I'd feel right complaining about anything from last night.
  12. Anyone have some thoughts on this one? Best team in the state (per some rankings) doing battle with a solid Conner squad. I'm very biased (Conner grad) and while my heart says Conner wins, my head knows otherwise. I am truly hoping for a game similar to the one last night vs the Cru, and not one resembling what CCH did to Newport. Thoughts?? I'll say CCH by 7 just so a prediction is on here
  13. So the head official for this game was one of the Ryle coaches? Don't say you talked to an official, and then say the message you got was from Ryle's bench. Of course they think they got hosed, and they MAY have an argument about the call being bad. 2 refs blew their whistle, neither made a signal right away (which is an issue for sure), the top official then signaled a charge, and called for a conference with the other official. They spoke and the charge stood. This is all from memory, sounds like Clyde has watched the film, but I believe this is how it went down. It would have been ideal if only 1 official blew his whistle, or they were at least immediately decisive with their call, but they weren't. Far too close of a call to say anyone got hosed.
  14. Get to Hebron early tonight because this one will be a great game to watch! Matchups are really fun in this one from the head coaches all the way down to the 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench.
  15. As is always the case the draw will be the biggest factor. Covcath is the obvious favorite, but in my opinion 4-5 teams could reach the final against them if the draw works out for them. IF Cooper is healthy IF NCC can stay away from CC's side IF Holy Cross can be opposite of NCC AND CovCath (Covcath is a given obviously being in the same district) IF Conner can avoid Covcath (they can beat anyone else if they play well) IF St. Henry can avoid CovCath (I believe the same about SHDHS as I do about Conner) Gonna be a fun 9th. Dixie and Newport also are both solid teams, but MAY be in over their head.
