  1. Cole committed to MTSU this morning per his Twitter account
  2. Cheese us crust WE DONT SPEAK SOUTH WARREN Look before you type
  3. Holy crap! The Pittsburgh Steelers are in 4A? Man . . . they get Big Ben at 100%, they should be the favorite for sure
  4. Game of the Week for sure. I'll take Hoptown. In a close one
  5. Watching FS can be boring at times (my opinion, but I love to throw it) and they will have to pass it to make a deep run in the playoffs. The passing game for them this year has been far above what they could do years prior. But in the past couple of years, I've seen them run it to perfection and beat teams 21-17 or 28-27. (Beat a Graves County team in 2014 that beat BG to make it to the state finals comes to mind) It's all about the match ups for them and they absolutely can NOT turn the ball over (2014 2nd round game against Madisonville-North Hopkins is the biggest case in point to that)
  6. Gotta put those state title teams 1-2, with 79 I think slightly over the 80 (because of the Joker injury in 80), but not by much. Then I'd go 95 team. I thought they didn't lose to Portland, only BGHS and the title game? I do know that Portland didn't win the 3A state title (their one and only) until 2000. Then 75 with Bear Stanley. Then 82 and 83. (All state runner ups) I played on that 97 team and one bad night at Rash Stadium, not to mention 140 lb running back we couldn't tackle, and I think we get back and hopefully win another. We started that year full Jean Rollins wishbone and by the end of the year was putting in place a passing game that came to be more of our style in the later 90's years. 99 team lost one game to one team in the state of KY by one point. The other lost to a 3A state runner up Portland Team that had both 3A Mr. Footballs on it. And they lost in the TN state final on a bogus pass interference call. During the regular season we beat Owensboro 26-25 during the regular season and also beat the mighty purples twice that year. I love the 2011 team. I only watched them a few times, but just seemed to get hot and ride it all the way to the finals.
  7. As an FS Fan, I hate this thread. The old quote is "one game at a time" and I'm a firm believer in that. You start to look to far down the road and you'll get beat by anyone at anytime.
  8. As an FS fan, I can't predict it. Only hoping for an incredible game with no injuries on either side and the those Wildcats somehow find a way to pull out a close one. FS 21 Greenwood 20
  9. No idea. But I agree it was an awful way to end a game
  10. Must be noted that this game was only a half due to lighting. FS came out early and pretty much ran the ball wherever they wanted to. I'd like to see the time of possession and total plays. FS had to dominate both. FS did a great job of keeping the high powered passing attack of Caldwell on the sidelines. But FS did put the ball on the ground twice, one of which led to the only touchdown Caldwell scored, the other was stopped at the one yard line as the first half ended. Awful way to end a game. Hated only seeing one half.
