  1. I totally agree with you on your not D1 until u sign. Our opinions mean nothing honestly. They are just opinions. But to not be able to recognize the level of talent and say that they cannot play D1 is totally different in saying they won't go D1. A lot of kids are D1 capable but aren't put in the right situations or given the correct exposure to get there. Seen it time and time again.
  2. Maybe I am so adamant on Garrard being able to play D1 because I have seen way less talent make it. Also as a 10th region player, no one thought I could be recruited by D1 because of what threads like these and politics said. I was recruited by Delaware State, Howard, TCU and other schools that aren't the greatest D1 schools but they were D1. I just think it's crazy that so many people on here can't recognize talent and that there is different levels to this stuff. Thank goodness for summer ball :-)
  3. I don't know the kids business like that about his visits or who is looking at him. I am only going off what I have seen him do throughout his career to make statements on what I believe is D1 capability.
  4. He will be 16 yr old senior. Not talking about going to another high school. Prep school is an option;-)
  5. Sideline meaning the coaches. Regardless of what anyone says, IMO they failed. Everyone is entitled to one ;-)
  6. I still say that Garrard can play D1. There are plenty of mid major colleges that would give him a chance. I will definitely agree he was not engaged last night, but that doesn't take away from his God given talent. Like I have said before, I have seen him play in the summer against much better talent, and he is definitely coached better and plays quite different than he does with Paris. Sometimes coaches have to bring things out of their kids, that's part of coaching. There are no motivators on that sideline. Yea you can say you shouldn't have to be motivated for one of the biggest games of your career, but the truth is, it happens. I already know Wells capabilities. I choose not to comment on him being that he is in my household.
  7. Those kids did their job. What about that sideline? Your up 19! And a team goes zone. Basketball 101, what do you do? Back the ball out and make the pull that zone out, widen the floor and should start shooting layups or they will go back m2m. Smh. Paris was outcoached, which seems to be the same song and dance every important game. And that play ran a billion times over, y? Y can't coaches make this game simple? They went zone, back it out, if you decide you want to play, go inside-out. Wells or Garrard should have gotten the ball at the free throw line or in the middle all night. Very disappointing to watch.
  8. well since you know so much AreLinz, you may want to recant your last statement. I am at just about every game at Paris. You are correct. Alvin Sims, was a tweener but his jump shot in high school was just about on the same level or worse than Kobe garrards. How do I know this, because he lived with me and my family. Alvin went to UofL. Which is a higher level D1 school. No one said Kobe Garrard is UofL caliber, but he is D1 level basketball player. I received a D1 scholarship and will be in the stands tonight wearing a black greyhound Pom Pom shirt with greyhounds shining in Orange. Hopefully we can meet. ;-)

  10. Have any of you truly watched all conferences of D1 basketball? Obviously not. For one thing he is not going to play the 4 or 5 in college. He is a tweener. Have you ever seen him play in the summer? He plays the majority of his game in the post at Paris because this is where he is needed. He can honestly play any position on the floor which is why he is such a beast. If you put a guard on him, he can take him to the rack. If you put a big guy on him, he is too fast out on the floor. I played D1 and know for sure that he can play right now on numerous D1 teams throughout the country. People need to watch the game a little better smh.
  11. You stated don't make him something he isn't. #1 player in the region would be hard to pick regardless. But I'm sure if you speak with 90% of the coaches that are in the tenth region that have played against hi would state he is a top candidate for #1. From position 2 to 4, he is pretty dominant. Only player that I have seen that could compare is dontae Allen. Your statement seemed like the persons statement of him being #1 was farfetched was my issue
  12. 8 pts and he played a total of about 1 and 1/2 quarters at the max the entire game. Foul trouble is foul trouble, won't discuss those refs that game but fans that aren't Paris fans would agree. Lol @ you saying don't make him something he is not. I don't care if it's Wilson, Allen, Crawford or Ohmer. If you are putting your best against him there is not contest. Your big will be too slow and your guard or forward will be too small and weak. Stop it! Kobe Garrard has a TEAM! If he shot 25 attempts a game, I'm sure his numbers would be ridiculous, but he doesn't have to. Your statement is a joke. Statistics show that Paris vs brossart was the worst shooting game for the greyhounds for the year. And it definitely was not because of their D. Too bad they can't cross our paths again to monkey thump the Mustangs the way it needed to be done.#kobegarrardbeastmode
  13. Fuller done his job as running his team, the defense just wasn't allowing him or the team many wide open looks.
