  1. Completely missed the point. Point was, Beechwood needs more competitive games!!!!! When you go into a week for a big game understanding it will be a fight and it is over by half it is a HUGE disappointment!!!! Both as a fan and player. Understand the context before smarty remarks, we teach kids to be humble. I think you could heed that advice! Did you see the CC scrimmage, there will be a game when QB play will be a huge factor. Being more than a 1 dimensional team makes Beechwood even more dominant, plenty of weapons to display every week. Clay showed that in 7on7 against Lakota West, Lasalle and CC scrimmage. As for comment around Harney, I love the kid. He is still young. Clay is and will be a stud, that is all I am going to say.
  2. I think this game will be much like last year, a completely lopsided and hyped game with disappointing fans leaving the stadium. SK didn't have success until substitutions were made on the BW side, all with Crone at the helm. No different this year, just putting fantasy vs reality into perspective here. Of course my opinion only, come attack me if I am wrong. 😀 I would really hate to think the outcome if Clay was BW QB. He is far superior than Hergott with the arm, he understands Progressions!!!! So disappointing not to see him out there under center. Kid is a stud!!!!!!!!!!
  3. What wins games? DEFENSE!!! Reference the announcers for State game of rematch with LCA. The defense put up "unheard of stats". Now answer this, what did BW loose on the defensive side? A HUGE core of the defense is back, especially at the LB position which played a HUGE part in last year's success. What has Ryle or any other program in NKY done the past 5 years to make you think there performance will improve. Ryle has way too much kids quiting and inter-coach confrontations. SK is always slated to contend for Ship. Please tell me who has actually lived up to or exceeded expectations the past few years?!!!! Lastly, don't sell Clay short, he will surprise everyone!!! If you don't know the reference,Clay, how are you able to evaluate a program.
  4. Beechwood is the solid #1, coaching staff motivates and develops. I am tired of hearing SK being the cream of the crop, they seem to always disappoint much like early expectations for Highlands. I drop by South Kenton feeder practices last season, numbers appeared way down. That is where the foundation is laid! I just can't bite on Ryle and SK hype, way too much underachieving the past years.
  5. The difference between NKY and Ohio is simple. Where are camps, showcases and recruiters focused. Not in Kentucky, especially when you look at baseball and basketball. The big summer showcases are in Ohio and Indiana, not NKY. Their are NO huge complexes in Kentucky to host a true scouting event. I grew up in Ohio and married into Kentucky. I was amazed by the differences in training and competition facilities in Kentucky compared to Ohio. From a baseball perspective, the land Noah's Ark exhibition owns is prime for a Multi-sports facility like Grand Park in Indiana. As the saying goes, "If you build it they will come!". Kentucky doesn't have anything to attract recruiters, please don't argue E-town either.
  6. Why is RC playing so DEEP, those should be routing catches. Look at the depth X plays, difference of the game at this point
  7. I would like to hear from all the LCA posters eating crow right now. Do you respect us Ft Mitchell'ers confidence in our Beechwood defense now? We told everyone our defense was stout!!!!
  8. Can't compare Scott to Beechwood in terms of "another senior year". Just being brutally honest here but who would want to endure "another senior year" at Scott?! The program is/has been in a tail spin the past 4 seasons
  9. Ok, if we are evaluating scrimmages I have to say I felt sorry for CovCath at the Beechwood-hosted 7on7. CovCath had 1 play turnovers in the scrimmage against Beechwood and didn't improve against Dixie. That is without defensive line pressure. Let's compare Apple to Apples.
  10. Outstanding breakdown! All these young men and teams dedicate themselves to their season, it is awesome someone puts so much effort to cover them and their matchups. KUDOS!!!!!!
  11. Final from Taylor Mill. Combined 1 hitter for the Scott Eagles. Ashton Craycraft goes 5 innings of no hit baseball with Mitchell Adams closing the door the final 2 innings. Alot of quality leather shown today for the Eagles. Ashton Craycraft: 5 IP 0 H 0 R 1K 3 BB 1-3 1 RBI Mitchell Adams: 2 IP 1 H 0 R 2 BB 1-4 2B Jake Balsley: 2-3 Jackson Hardin: 1-3 Great defense and team effort Eagles!
  12. Scott wins over Dixie in 10 innings, 7-5. Stats: Mitchell Adams: 5 IP 4H 5R 5ER 6K 3BB 4-5 3R 2B HR 2RBI SB Ashton Craycraft: 4IP 1H 0R 7K 5BB (1-0) 2-5 R 2B RBI Jake Balsley: 1IP 0H 0R 1K (Save #2) 2-5 RBI Justin Grindstaff 2 RBI Jacob Thompson RBI
