  1. DeSales will be solid again, but has some questions on both lines. They lose a bunch of talent, but return a lot too... as usual. Brian Asamoah and Ty Van Fossen are both 3 star recruits that return, with I believe 10 and 8 offers respectively. Kings is always a solid program, and like said before should win 7 games with their schedule. Not sure of any big names, maybe somebody with more knowledge of Cincinnati could help with that.
  2. Every program can grow and build, but every program is different. I truly believe that ANY program CAN succeed at the highest level.. it just takes a Next level type of competitiveness and the work ethic to get to that level. Yes it's cliche but it is very possible. Also another thing people don't look at.. sometimes to be successful you have to work outside the box. Get creative, change the game, do something different
  3. Ryle is a solid program and compete well.. I remember when they played Columbus DeSales a few years back... in the future would love to see them on the schedule again. LaSalle will be solid without a doubt and it'll be interesting to see the two go head to head. I am not sure what LaSalle has coming back, but whatever it is.. they'll be tough. Good tough game for Ryle to prepare them for later on in their season
  4. Derrius Mullins- IU commit Alonzo Booth- A couple offers, Marshall and Boston College of note Ryan Corkrean- Air Force and Davidson that I know of Jared Noble- U. Penn commit Drew McLuckie- Morehead State offer Ty Van Fossen- 7 offers, Toledo and Boston College of Note Brian Asamoah- 6 offers, Penn State and Michigan(Go Blue!) of note Chris Stoll- Preferred Walk On commit to Penn State as a Long Snapper I feel a couple other guys might also get D1 offers at some point.. names to watch Brandon Derrow Dominic Dimaccio Luke Barber
  5. Also one of DeSales two way players, Joey Velasquez.. Transferred last season to the school and is a sophomore.. Ohio State baseball commit, he joins the lineup next week and will be probably a LB and a RB. I'm not sure how the LB situation will work with three D1 linebackers in the starting lineup but we'll see.
  6. Really wish I could watch this game, hoping to make it down one year to catch it, hear it's usually a good one.
  7. Love to hear that the series has been extended, I also heard the same to provide the second person saying that. Two great programs and another two game series!! Booth is definitely a unique kind of player, rare combination of speed and obviously power. Also have Asamoah in the backfield helps. Asamoah received his first offer last night, by EKU. Cov Cath definitely wasn't completely overmatched though, they passed very well and made some plays. They did not however has any element of running the ball. Credit the DeSales D-Line.. They're definitely a talented group with some size! I will say this though, two very good football teams played last night. Honestly the score does not show the difference in ability between the two teams.
  8. Agree with most said here, home side does have some good cooking including a live grill on top of concessions, and the walkway and enterence is beautiful. Stadium itself is very nice. DeSales has multiple future college athletes on the field, including a nice handful of future D1 athletes. Mullins, Van Fossen, Booth, and Asamoah are some key names to know.
  9. DeSales actually has shown a passing attack this year, and has been over double digits with pass attempts twice already in games. A rarity I know, but they have shown they're at least capable of passing this year with some decent effiency as well. What is the scouting report on Cov Cath?
  10. Last years DeSales team was very good, but I do believe this team is better. Their schedule hasn't been great to this point but Lancaster is solid, and Bishop Hartley is a very very good team. I do understand that Cov Cath I better this year, but so is DeSales. I'm not exactly sure what to think, but I think it'll be a DeSales win. 31-17 DeSales
  11. Excited to see Cov Cath play Columbus St Francis DeSales again this year, great series and I think two very good teams will meet this year!
  12. I saw the updates and have been on here before.. Thought I'd hop on and Jin the convo, seems very lively and I like it!! Cov Cath is a team I personally have a a lot of respect for. I really think they're better than the 1-5 record. DeSales is solid, but their offense was without an electric player, not to mention a stud in the defensive backfield. His speed and ability to make people miss is something that I don't usually see when talking about DeSales. They're usually the kind to just hit you in the mouth a couple dozen times and get some yards, but Andrews has agility like few I've seen at DeSales at least recently. He is a 3 star recruit. I think he'lol do well at MSU. Also the D-Linemen who returned the fumble.. The 315 pounder. He is a 3 star who has offers from Boston College and Wisconsin among others. Cov Cath D as impressive. I saw some film and they really did well tackling especially gang tackling. I think they'll surprise some people down the stretch. If I heard properly then all the teams in their district make the playoffs? If so they'll be ready!
  13. Covington Catholic is a very good team, but for DeSales.. They were without their best player Austin Andrews who plays RB/DB for the Stallions, he is committed to play CB at Michigan State. I feel he would've made a difference in the game.
