That was NOT the Tampa Bay team that I enjoyed watching all year. Hats off to Washington as they keep slaying their demons. Go, Knights!

Shower beers are the bomb. I first concocted the idea in my head when I was in college and thought I was on the cutting edge of beer drinking. Been a big fan ever since. I never thought to give it a name but "shower beer" is perfect. Has to be in a bottle though.

I've told my kids so many white lies over the years, I've forgotten them all. My adult daughter recently told me that for the longest time, she believed there were tiny people who worked inside of traffic lights because I sold her on that idea as a kid. I'm quite proud of that one.

I may be going off topic here but I think part of the problem with out-of-control parents is that they can't see the big picture. The youngest of my 3 boys will be a senior next year. I've been to countless baseball/basketball/soccer/football games over the last 18 years and have seen the complete "life cycle" of youth sports. I think the majority of overbearing parents think their son/daughter has real potential to be something great. ...

Really wanted to watch this one but the monsoon that hovered over NKY rendered my DirecTV virtually useless.

The Bolts hung on for dear life in the last 3 minutes. Washington assaulted the goal but came up inches short on a few plays. Lars Eller of the Capitals really hurt his team last night with his costly penalties. Here's hoping TB can win tomorrow and gain the advantage in the series.

TAC is 100% right. A collection item on your credit (even if you pay it afterwards) will remain on your credit for years and will hurt your score by 20 or so points. You never want a collection item on your credit report. It's not worth it to ignore a bogus/frivolous collection item on your credit report just out of spite. In the past, I've paid 2 small, insignificant medical "collection items" that were BS but it was much cheaper to pony up...

I'll respectfully disagree with you on this. If you don't have someone's social security number, I'm not aware of any way this could happen.

Yes, but they'd also need your social security number to even try to put a collections item on a credit report. Don't remember whether or not the county has my social security number but I'd be highly suspicious if that could actually go on my credit report as a collections item.

Did anyone else catch the premier episode of Patrick Melrose on Showtime this weekend? I was immediately interested in this show within the first 5 minutes and I think it's going to be very good. I don't know how to describe it so here's Showtime's official summary of the series: "Get ready for the lowdown on the British upper class. This five-part limited series based on the acclaimed novels by Edward St. Aubyn tracks Patrick from a...

The new menu system is dreadful and slow. You can barely read the info listed on the screen. Why would they change something that didn't need it?

I laughed out loud at this quote, TAC. I think we should make the Walking Dead into a verb when someone/something has completely gone downhill. For example: The Reds' bullpen really pulled a Walking Dead last night in the 8th inning.

This was a great game. The Bolts came out with a purpose but Boston hung in there and made them earn the win. Even though I'm a Bolts fan, Brad Marchand got hosed with the no-call on the slash late in the game. Other than that, the Lightning did a great job in the final 2 minutes when the B's pulled the goalie. The defense hunkered down and prevented Boston to mount an assault on Vasilevskiy.

I stayed awake through the first period and called it a night. The pre-game extravaganza at the Shark Tank was pretty cool to see. Looks like that was a fantastic game. Fleury made a highlight reel save in OT. The game winning goal by Karlsson was a total snipe job. At first look, I thought Jones should've made that save but the highlights show that Wild Bill put it exactly where Jones couldn't get it. Very impressive game winning goal...

This was a great game for 40 minutes. Boston flat out dominated the final 20 minutes, while the Leafs looked helpless.

Disappointing loss again for the Jackets. I'm buying stock in this Columbus team for the next 2-3 years. They are so young and with their talent, the window is open for a future run. However, at some point in time, you have to grow up. Next season is critical for their future. Anything less than a solid run through the playoffs will be a setback.

This one was wildly entertaining to watch. The crowd energy was insane and there were so many highlight reel moments/plays. Frederik Andersen was under assault on many occasions and made some incredible saves. FredEx delivered.
