  1. Having been an insider to this program I could tell you there many reasons as to why it has fallen apart. It was like watching a soap opera about a high school soccer team. A lot of it would be inappropriate to discuss online due to the players, coaches, parents involved.
  2. Its sad how much the program has faltered in the last two years. They actually have two excellent players Ryan Wolf (CUP) and Johnny Trentkamp (KHA) who have been starting since they were freshmen. The problem being is that the coaching staff never focused on teaching the non club players on how to play the game. I would love to touch on all the issues the program has had over the years but I'm not sure this forum could handle the content.
  3. Sorry that came out wrong .... Any players hurt or did they get any red cards?
  4. Shocked by this result OC best SO twice this season, thought it would be a lot closer. Any details were they playing players down?
  5. From the recruiting process that I have been dealing with my son most D1 and D2 colleges only are interested in the kid's freshmen and sophmore year in high school (how much playing time and productivity). Otherwise they could care less about high school soccer due to the lack of overall talent that most high school teams possess.
  6. Way to go Camels!!! You played as a team and it paid off. On to Brossart!!! On a different note, does Scott always play this way? I'm surprised they've beaten anyone. Outside of a couple players all I saw was selfishness.
  7. Kind of find it funny when it comes to red cards and Scott (I believe they lead the state over the last few years) it is never their fault. Always read an excuse how it was the opposing team's fault. Man up accept fault and move on.
  8. I apologize MLS had better average attendance than basketball and hockey. You are correct. NFL, MLB, MLS, NHL, NBA.
  9. Maybe but you can get Reds tickets for $5/10 not too expensive. Pacer tickets weren't too bad last time I went on par with Columbus Crew tickets.
  10. I never understood the need of the soccer haters to always voice why they hate soccer and why football is better. Or that soccer players aren't atheletes. I played football in high school and college, love the sport, but I also find soccer very intriguing. It is my second favorite sport. To think that these boys who play soccer could not play football because of size or athleticism is ridiculous. Most of the wrs, qbs, rbs, and dbs that I played college football with had extensive soccer experience. Most love the sport and credited soccer for their footwork. I find baseball boring and cricket confusing but would never bash the sports or players. It takes a special and committed athelete to excel in any sport. BTW I remember reading something a few months ago where it stated that soccer was on average the 2nd favorite sport among people 25 and younger and that the MLS average attendance is better than basketball or baseball. To brush it aside as not a real sport because of some weird childish attitude is just ridiculous, grow up.
  11. From what I heard it was pretty bad. I hope that the coach, ad, and school administration handles this properly and sternly to deter this type of behavior from happening in the future. Due to his behavior he definitely diminished his team's chances of making it out of the districts.
  12. Heard that Scott Goalkeeper Seay picked up another red card and will be out for districts. Anybody have news on that? Could make districts interesting, Campbell County upset.
