  1. The passing game was not clicking. Blackburn struggled a bit throwing the ball and it didn't help that Trinity lost one of their top receivers possibly for the year last week to a freak foot injury. They also had another starting receiver playing with one hand after he severely sprained it Wednesday in practice. I expect the home field and another week of prep and healing to help the passing game get back on track. Running game was solid in both halves. The Rocks wore down Ensworth and it showed in the 4th QTR.
  2. Here is a link to an article on the scrimmage. Blackburn confident in Trinity debut | CatholicSportsNet
  3. This is a good schedule for this years team. I expect to take some lumps early as they lost a bunch of scoring on offense and do not appear to have any D1 talent starting. They can still go all the way as neither Male nor St. X appear to be super strong this year. It will be an interesting year and a challenging one for the staff.
  4. Mom got mad that Larry wasn't allowed to dress for Male game due to missing practice and school Tues and Wed sick. Team rule! He was again told prior to boarding bus for the game. Called mom to pick him up and she decided if he wasn't playing neither was Manny. Grabbed both boys and equipment and the rest is history. FACT!
  5. Does anyone know where I can find the playoff bracket for 6A. I realize there is one week left to play but thought I saw a generic one with the district matchups based on records.
  6. Wrong. Name one Junior that starts Varsity for Trinity that played in the JV game. For that matter name one Junior that is in the starting rotation for Varsity that played in the JV game. Do some of the Juniors that played in the JV game get some reps on Varsity? Absolutely, hard not to when you are up by so much in every game.
  7. It is fact that they are no longer part of the football team. Where they end up as far as school is not know for sure.
  8. They are no longer part of the Football team. It appears their parents have decided Trinity is not the right team or school for them.
  9. Trinity scored on the ground an passing. Was not a contest at all. PRP just didn't have the speed or size to compete. Starters played entire 1st half then one series in the second. QB starter was Spencer Blackburn as both Harper boys are no longer on the Trinity team. 2nd team D struggled a little but the 2nd offense didn't miss a beat.
