  1. Sounds like Hard work has been beat by the Flyers a few times. You can say what you want but I know Coach James personally and he’s all in and building this program the right way. He spent time under Chuck Smith and knows what he is doing. I’ll take the Flyers in this one and it won’t be as close as most think.
  2. Surprised this isn’t getting more attention with Mr. Football Candidate Wandale Robinson kicking off his senior campaign. The Flyers aren’t getting much love in the CKY pick em contest. I thought they were returning a lot of young players.
  3. No way. That completely ruins the integrity of the game. It promotes everything that’s wrong with our society. Kids who didn’t get their way would be transferring left and right.
  4. My money goes to Coach James at Franklin County. The job he and his staff did this was was great considering all the things they had to go through off the field. They took a group of backups and played a loaded Mercer County team who may win the region to the final play of the game. They will return most of their top talent on both sides of the ball and he is already working towards improvements for next year to build a program the right way. Keep plugging along coach!!!
  5. FC is really young still and has had two season ending injuries up front. The flyers start 8 underclassmen on offense and 8 on defense. They have lost a few kids to transfer and a senior to violation of team rules. I have known Coach James for a while and he will get things right for the Flyers. He's building this program the right way and it may take some time but they will be just fine. Keep your head up coach and keep putting your touch on things.
  6. This is not a surprise to those close to the program at FCHS. The Flyers have a big week ahead of them as they face a really good Collins team.
  7. I coached with Denny at Mercer County a few years back. Personally i don't see him as head coaching material but that is just my opinion.
  8. JV, any particular reason Coach Sheridan decided not to keep the job? Who are the front runners? If I'm correct this will be the schools third coach in as many years. Hopefully for the kids sake they get someone in there long term to bring stability.
  9. I heard this today from a buddy and went on their website and saw it posted. But it seems to have ended on February 4th. I remember them doing an interim coach last year. I wonder if they are just going to hire the interim or if the job is actually open? Franklin Cty - TalentEd Recruit & Hire
  10. This is not true. If Shelby wins they are the 1. If they lose they are the two. If Collins Loses and Franklin wins there will be a 3 way tie to decide second through fourth place.
  11. Looks like coach James is back to his old ways of scoring a lot of points. Heard they flyers used a tight end a lot and even huddled a few times.
  12. The job is posted on their district web site. This should be interesting.
  13. I'm hearing that Chris Tracy was promoted to an assistant principals job. Will he still coach? Where will the flyers turn this late in the process if he is out?
  14. From what I have been told nothing would surprise me with TJ. From a good source (another member of the hiring committee) he "interviewed" three candidates on his own. He interviewed two candidates who would have both been GREAT for owen county. The job was offered and accepted by an assistant coach at a big time program but TJ would not set up a meeting with the superintendent and principal that the candidate requested so he backed out. It seems like he wanted to have the job all along in my opinion. The real losers here are the kids of Owen County.
