  1. IMO you will be eating your first sentence one the Breds take the Ads to the shed on Friday.
  2. This should be a good game. I am concerned with how the Juggs have played compared to NCC since their last meeting. Yes, Lloyd has one games since that loss, but man talk about ugly wins. While NCC seems to have stepped up their passing offense to compliment the effectively good running of Harris and Smith. As a Juggs fan this game has me a little on edge. This game will either be a tight game with the Juggs winning by 3 or less, or NCC runs Lloyd out of Newport by 3 tds. I hope it is the former rather than the latter. Lloyd 24 NCC 22
  3. Sarge, you are spot on about New Richmond I had them mixed up with another team. My meaning with schedule /wins for WV was by all appearances they played a weaker schedule yet only won 5 regular season games. From an outsider perspective their schedule looks suspect. But,as you mentioned they play a lot of underclassmen, so their schedule may well be perfect for maturing a young team and helping them gel. They are certainly doing something right because they are still playing. No disrespect was ever intended to WV.
  4. Sarge, I am trying to figure out exactly where your disagreement is coming from? WV is 6-5 and to be frank they only have one impressive win this year and that was against Lexington Christian who is now sitting at 7-4 as they get ready for their second round playoff game. WV swept their four district games and those four teams have a combined record of 15"wins and 28 losses. Throw in WV's sixth win against a 1-10 newport team and the schedule is starting to look not so tough. IMO, WV played at best 4 quality opponents (Lloyd, Holy Cross, Lex Christian, and Henry Co) and of those four they won one game. Also New Richmond is not anything special. I get the fact that WV can not control that district 5 was down this season and they can only play what's on the schedule, but there are only 3 teams from WV schedule that are still playing going into week 2 of the playoffs and all 3 schools are 2A.
  5. IMO WV has not really played the type of schedule that helps a team in the playoffs. The schedule the Juggs played was vastly improved this season. I am a firm believer in the ideology that a tough non-district schedule helps mentally and physically prepare a team for the playoffs. I see the Juggs as the more battle-tested team. However, anything can happen under the lights on Friday nights. Lets have a clean and injury free contest between two schools who have earned the opportunity to play in the 2nd round if the playoffs.
  6. This is going to be a very good game with both teams racking up lots of yardage. The question is which team finishes drives by putting points on the board. I do think Lloyd is more balanced offensively than WV and that could play a major role in the outcome. Both teams are miles ahead of where they were the first week of the regular season which is a testament to both teams players and coaches.
  7. Great job on the rankings all season long. It seems to me the rankings have , for the most part, remained even. The teams in the top ten have been consistent which has been reflected, quite appropriately in the weekly rankings. As a poster in a previous thread mentioned even though a team like Brossart had a great season they more than likely would not be able to keep pace with a 3 win Cov Cath, 5 win NCC ect, and therefore would not make the top ten. However, would Brossart crack the NKY top 15?
  8. I believe this is a rematch of last years first round won by the Juggs at Carrol Co. IMO Lloyd has too much speed and too many playmakers for Carrol Co to overcome. I envision Lloyd playing their reserves for much of the second half.
  9. HC by a minimum of three scores. IMO HC rests their starters the entire second half. Also any news on Abernathy? I saw him on crutches after the Lloyd game last week and was wondering if there had been any official word on his status.
  10. Yep Josh Stratton was Lloyds coach until Turner took over in 2013 b/c Stratton went to NR.
  11. I am totally amazed at how even HC stats for the game were. They owned time of possession by a wide margin. It is crazy that the Juggs had under 70 yards through the air, but over 300 on the ground. In the playoffs teams should be leary if facing either HC or LMHS.
