Henderson should never get beat like that whether it's Reitz or not. Just as we know the sun will rise in the morning we all know that high school athletics are cyclical - especially in this area of the state. With that said don't put too much stock in this first loss. I'm sure there was some alterior motives for this score. Former head coach, egos, first game kinks etc. Henderson is a good enough program and Lewis is a good enough coach were this won't be the regular this season - I'd bet on that!

Two words - RUNNING CLOCK in favor of OHS

Anxious to see how this one turns out, I'm not sure if McCraken is as good as the last couple years but if they are I could see this being a helluva game. I'm gonna say this one is a barn burner - gimme McCraken by 7. Sorry DragonFire - as you can see I made the switch over. I'm hoping I like it, looking forward to some good discussion.

Thanks for the welcome Purp, I used to be a regular poster over on kypreps.com. That place is like a ghost town these days, I really hate to see that - we always had some good discussions of Owensboro area sports there. Someone had encouraged me to check out this forum, it's a little northern, eastern & central KY heavy but maybe we can bring some Western KY jazz to this site. Getting back to the game this Friday, I do think this game can be a competitive game. Although I do think OC will likely come out ahead in the end. OC has been running the same system for years and years - it's a proven well oiled machine (until they run into the buzz saw known as OHS) ha! - DC is still getting used to a new head coach, although he's been on the staff for a while I'm sure it's still an adjustment. Personally, I don't think they ever should have got rid of Kimbrell, what an asset OHS got with him. That topic is for another place and time - a post that's about 6 months too late.

I know everyone is going to pick OC in this one and no one can blame them. I wouldn't be so fast in making that prediction, I think the panthers can make a game out of this.
