Also Ryle only has 5 seasons with season records. Three of those are under this head coach. Ryle only has 4 seasons of single game records. Three of those under this head coach. All I’m saying is to become like a Cov Cath or Highlands team will take years to build. Some will be great and some will be bad. Also getting a new freshman coach who will run the same program as the varsity program helps too. This hadn’t happened until this head coach took over. This year the freshman team is indefeated.

It doesn’t hurt that Highlands has 100 years under their belt. Which makes for a good program. Not taking away from their excellent program but it takes time. Their history is four times as long as Ryles existence. Takes time to build a program and your going to stumble but these coaches have done more in the last four years then any other four consecutive years in the schools short history of 20+ years. Sometimes you can be confused about good coaching and good playing. Coaches again are only as good as two things; quality of players, quality of facilities. Without a long heritage of winning it’s still tuff to get parents with talented kids to move into that school district.

Didn’t seemed to be poorly coached last year when they set a school record for an Undefeated regular season.

Another comment, I noticed at the last home game we had. The opponents student section was larger than ours? Where’s our kids at supporting the team? Stands looked bare for our first home game. You want a good team? Get off your Cushy chairs and come sit in the stands with us. 50 years ago I attended an Illinois high school. Our Badketball team was first class but our football team was never better then 50%. Just the way it was. But the attendance at the FB games were much larger then ours. That’s because we supported them. Kids need to know we’ve got their backs.

I think the weathers perfect for a game tonight. Both teams look equally good and both teams want a first win. Being prejudiced towards Ryle, I'll pick them by 7. Offensive line looks good so they're running game will be good. The quarter back is no Tanner Morgan so look for short yardage passing. Our defensive line is good. Only question will be with our secondary. Corner backs and safety will really need to step up this season.

Always glad to see Ryle challenging a real quality team. You'll never make the team better unless they're challenged. Overall team as is good or better then last year. The only question will be at quarterback. You don't get a Tanner Morgan every year in a public school system. Defense ought to be good.

It'll be warmer than usual so this should make for a good game. Rules defense might be the secret and should give the edge against Scotts running game. And Ryles offense is explosive. Ryles got the edge in this one. They've been clicking on all cylinders lately.

Home field advantage, a dynamic offense, and a defense that has matured in every game. Ryle takes this one and moves on to round three.

Ryle will win. Post season is a whole new season and often brings out the best in under performing players/teams. We just need to play our game that got us to a perfect season for the first time. 5 games and each one gets harder.

Would be great to set another school record and go 10-0.

All the stats, home field advantage, etc. Anyway you boil it down this will be a true Friday night game under the lights. Can't find this kind of game in the pros or collegiate level. You gotta love HS football.

Ryle needs to play outstanding defense and it's their game with whatever points they want.

It's tough when you have a good team that needs to stay sharp and keep your edge. Three weeks till Simon Kenton, about five weeks till playoffs. As a coach you hate to see a blowout but you want your guys to stay aggressive.
