  1. Heard a few names being tossed around and have heard there are at least 8 applicants for the HC job including a few school staff assistants. Any leads on possible interviewee's or thoughts of who'd be a good fit.
  2. Hate to hear this but they need to start the hiring process soon. They need to build a relationship with the new coach and staff. It's a possibility that a few of Mullins staff members are headed down 64 with him. I hope the team stays strong and looks to each other during this time of transition because when it comes down to it, it's that team of brothers that put the work in and sacrifice for each other on the field. Other than that it's X's and O's....
  3. Mullins has done a great job of creating a culture at GC. And the talent level has dramatically increased over the past few years. New hires to the staff have proven their ability and commitment to the program and with the upcoming talent, I see nothing but a bright future for this program as long as they find the right fit to steer the ship. That being said, the school administration has to get in line and hire a coach that can grab the teams respect the same way Mullins did. I say good luck to Mullins and hope his replacement has as much fire and desire as he did. It seems the school administrators keep driving off good teachers and staff. This is the issue in my opinion.
  4. D1 stud is the question... Kentucky has alot of solid HS studs but it's been a while since we've produced a true D1 stud at the college level. Quite a few boys have made commits to D1 schools but get washed away in the lineup by true studs. Size strength and speed are the important things but in order to hang with the needs of D1 programs you have to survive academically as well. All these factors are a rare combination that produces a STUD!
  5. GC is showing a surge of return after a hard road the last decade. The upcoming classes show some real promise and the returning starters are big impact players. Any thoughts about the program's future?
  6. Greenup was in last nights scrimmage with a second string QB who gave a good effort but missed the mark on a few key plays. The Same QB is their JV starting QB and looked strong in his late appearance in the 4th quarter outing of the JV squad. May have been a case of jitters with the varsity group. Jared Hunt will be back hopefully Monday the 17th and work toward a cohesive outing will resume at this time. But many highlights were seen on Greenup's behalf through their backs and younger group.
