I'll take Madison Central in this one. They play a fast and very physical game which I don't think Cov Cath will be able to handle. Madison Central 3 - CCH 1
A player for Cooper was able to start the game apparently, with unauthorized shin guards. About 3-5 min in, play was stopped, the player was seen leaving the field and changing his shin guards. A long discussion ensued and ended with the Cooper coach getting a yellow. My question is, isn't the ref supposed to check cleats and other equipment before the game?
Despite the center ref's best efforts, Cooper was able to win. It all started with shinguard gate and followed up with a 50/50 ball, seemingly good tackle and a player being carded for getting to the ball too fast.
Their last meeting was in Regionals where Cooper got stomped. Now with the new assistant at Cooper, can they do any better or is NCC going to dominate again?
Looks like a pretty rough start for Beechwood. Is this just the growing pains of a new program? I would expect Conner to win with the Striker they have but a result of 9-0 doesn't leave much room for optimism.
