  1. I wouldn't call mustang a supporter just a broadcaster. Both programs have made it deep into region play the past two years with the boys making it to the semifinals last year and finals this year.
  2. Not sure what full ticket prices are but I've been to many Mls games and quite a few Fc games the prices are pretty much the same so I'm not sure what you're referring to. Have you ever been to one? How much did you pay? Your right some high school games have no flow but if you watch a good team (there are very few in not this year) there is plenty to watch. Go watch St. X play if Campbell makes it that far.
  3. As a 40 something dad that grew up playing baseball and football i love watching soccer. It does take more understanding to watch the game then just watching a bunch of overweight sumo wrestlers run into each other for 3 seconds at a time. It's easy to spot a penalty even if you don't understand the game. Remember I played football for years its a relatively simple game. I mean everyone is told exactly what to do every play. Basketball and soccer are very similar in there is always action albeit basketball is much higher score but it takes multiple skill sets ( dribble while running ,passing and shooting) the game is changing by the second Football not so much. As for popularity if you get out of the tri state area where soccer is huge I can think of 12 or so club teams with thousands of kids each. Soccer is a more popular sport by far club and high school. How many other football clubs are there? I've never heard of one.
  4. If not mistaken there are more kids in the world that play soccer than football and basketball combined.
  5. I like pk's especially in post season. They are not as easy as they look after 90 mins of sprinting and physical play. All you have to do is put the ball in the net right? Must be easy, No pressure just the rest of your high school soccer career, or possibly your last game. Grated it's a tough way to lose, but it's also an awesome feeling knowing you just won the game for your team by making/ blocking a goal. The whole pull the goalie is rediculus it would just turn into a kick ball game by taking shots from 40 or 50 yards out and hoping they go in .
  6. How were the teams decided? Who was sent invitations?
  7. Hard to believe Muck made it over several nky players including Schneider.
  8. First of all I wasn't there and by the sounds of the comments by others most of you weren't either but after talking to a few people and players who were, the center ref is usually a very solid choice how ever on this one he may have missed the call and even a players parent from Pendleton that I know said that was the fact. I was told the goalie grabbed the ball from the attackers foot on a slide getting all ball then the striker tripped after to kick the ball one more time. The ar tried to tell the center this but was told that's not what happened( she was 20 yards away) he was at mid field. I also heard hildreth had cleat marks up his leg from being taken out earlier but I guess that's not a foul, ( coming in cleats up) that's how everybody plays right.
  9. I have seen them play 3 matches and he has received cards in all 3.
  10. Got to make it down to watch the game tonight not sure but I think Tanner's second goal came from number 11. Not sure who that is?
  11. What is the big hang up with ONE state champion. Every other sport has a small school champ. Heck football has six states champs , Track has 3 so does cross country.
  12. I have been told by a parent of one of the boys that left that a coach personally talked to him and his son about coming to the football team. And your right parents do talk to the boys about switching and there's nothing you can do about that.
  13. Nothing could be farther from the truth I no for a fact that the coaches have approach 3rd multiple kids from other sports. So get off your high horse thinking that your sports do no wrong and come back to earth.
