  1. Keep it at 6 classes, but only have the district champion go to the playoffs or the district champion and runner up to the playoffs.
  2. The best solution would be to go from 6 to 3 classes. Combine 1A and 2A to a new 1A class. Combine 3A and 4A to make a new 2 A class and combine 5A and 6A to make a new 3A class. Have all the championship games be on the first Saturday in December.
  3. Per yesterday's Kentucky New Era, Robbie Townsend has been named boys basketball coach at Ft. Campbell. That means to the best of my knowldge, all boys high school head coaching jobs in the state of Kentucky have been filled.
  4. There might be a response in both Mayfield and Danville to this question, especially after how Mayfield handled one of the top small school teams in Tennessee last night.
  5. Looks like It will be the Dragons and Purples up for Fourth Region supremacy once again. Everyone else will be battling for third place.
  6. Logan County is not going to surprise as many people this year as they did last year. Both Hoptown and Madisonville will be gunning for them this year. The good news is Madisonville is coming to Logan. The bad news is Logan County is going to have play Hoptown at Hoptown with Craig Clayton whipping the Tigers into a frenzy after losing the district title to the Cougars last year. If the Cougars can repeat last year's success this year, Todd Adler should be a strong candidate for Coach of the Year in all classes.
  7. According to WPSD TV and the West Kentucky Star, Dan Langhi is the new girls basketball coach at Marshall County.
  8. This could not only be applied to sports, but to other activities as well such as marching band, debate team, academic team, etc.
  9. With Trimble County cancelling their 2018 football season due to low turnout and declining numbers in the school system, could co-op programs work in Kentucky like they do in other states like Illinois. For example, UHA does not offer football, but can be involved in a co-op program with Christian County or Hopkinsville to allow UHA students the chance to play football without changing schools.
  10. I can see Paducah Tilghman as a surprise team this year just on inspiration after all that has happened with Coach Duncan. Eventually, the Blue Tornado will get their swagger back and shock someone this year, whether it be McCracken County, Graves County, Mayfield, or Caldwell County.
  11. Looks like a very even series over the years.
  12. The Russellville game is important for Crittenden County for 3 reasons. 1. It will determine the district title since the Fulton schools are in a constant tailspin. 2. It will determine home field for at least the first two rounds of the playoffs. 3. Russellville and Crittenden County have played each other quite a few times over the years. I also would not consider Campbellsville a lock to play Crittenden County in the playoffs. Campbellsville is in the same district as Louisville Holy Cross, who have a highly sought freshman lineman that is being pursued by schools such as Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida State.
  13. The Russellville game will be the key game for Crittenden County this year. An interesting question I have was when was the last time Crittenden County beat Russellville at Russellville?
  14. I thought it sounded like the location of a sandwich shop since sub sandwiches are also known as "grinders" HaHa
