It looks like both teams are playing tough schedules with several tournaments outside NKY which I think is great. It's good to get some exposure to other regions for NKY softball. Boone looks like they scheduled district and conference games. According to KHSAA they did not play last year either so I assume it's not a rivalry game. I would say as an outsider looking in you may be reading too much into them not playing. Especially if it is a non district, non conference game.

How about the conference?

I don't have a dog in the fight. Is Boone County in the same district as Highlands?
