I think this is a testament to how much of a dumpster fire things are in Fayette County.

I know there are some Mr. Football winners who made some NFL practice squads but never made it onto a final roster (Derek Homer, Micah Johnson & Douglas Beaumont for example) but looking on the Wikipedia page for the Mr. Football award: 1987 - Kurt Barber played in the NFL from 92-97 1988 - Jeff Brohm played in the NFL from 94-00 1994 - Shaun Alexander played in the NFL from 00-08 1995 - Tim Couch played in the NFL from 99-07 1997 -...

I'm assuming you're saying that you think Dixie needs to look at other options for head coaching? I think if you look at things on the whole, the overall success of athletic programs as far as competitiveness for state championships is not a huge priority for Kenton County Public Schools. I'm not going to go through and look at all sports across the board for the last 15 or 20 years, but aside from Simon Kenton's football, baseball and softball...

From the NKY power rankings: I said Scott's football program is vastly improved, and I'd call that pretty vastly improved. In that same 6 year time period, which is the entirety of Coach Brossart's tenure as head coach, Dixie has had 36 wins - although it's definitely worth noting the trip to the 6A finals in 2014. I didn't necessarily mean that kids are looking for a "football future" with Scott, but when there's open enrollment in...

1 - Scott's football program has vastly improved over the last 5 years. Simon Kenton football is vastly improved from 15 years ago. Kenton County Schools have open enrollment. If I'm a kid who plays football, I want to go to Scott or Simon Kenton LONG before I want to go to Dixie. 2 - Covington Catholic and Beechwood are both within a 5 mile drive, and are much more promising opportunities for a winning season and maybe a state championship....

    I just don't see 2A Walton beating 5A/6A Cooper.

I think it's pretty cut and dry what theguru was saying there. Both Tom Gamble and the schools involved like getting the extra cash that they get for the Skyline Crosstown Showdown as a result of bumping up ticket prices to the folks coming out to see a regular old high school football game. When people complain about increased ticket prices at KHSAA mandated district games like Conner vs. Cooper, the schools blame the Showdown for the increase,...

I hear they have a pretty seriously talented junior defensive back. He spent most of the season out with an injury last year, but he's healthy this year. Supposedly related to Shaun Alexander and Derrick Barnes.

So you think if someone cuts me off and then brake-checks me, I should be able to shoot and kill them without consequence. Correct?

A car can be deadly too. If someone cuts me off in traffic in a manner I feel is threatening, should I be in the clear to shoot them and eliminate the threat?
