  1. What names are you hearing thrown around for this job? I heard Roger Coppage name thrown around a lot, but recently talked to him and he said he wasn't interested. Any other names?
  2. Would love to see Mason County`s former coach come to Harrison County. The coach they have there is a terrible coach. She has a 56-126 won/loss record in 6 seasons. You know your bad when you have former coaches come in and show you how to run practice and plays. Has no business being a basketball coach. Hope the Harrison County administration wises up and gets rid of her.
  3. I agree with you that Paris is a sleeper team and Moo is one of the best pitchers in the Region. My opinion on the pitchers was mainly based on the type of competition the teams play. Harrison has played some really good teams the last couple years and this year is no exception. But agree with you 100% that she is one of the best pitchers and Paris could cause some damage this year.
  4. Very curious to see how Harrison hits this year. They`re hitting coach of many years, Roger Coppage resigned in October. I know the girls really liked and respected him. He is one of the best hitting coaches in the state. Tony Conley is the hitting coach now, he does a really good job and is very passionate about the sport.
  5. For the 10th Region, this is my opinion based on returning players and information I have received. Any one of 3-4 teams can win the Region. Harrison lost some nice players but return probably the best 2 pitchers in the Region. They also got two really good transfers in to fill a couple of the positions they needed to fill. Bourbon will be right in the running. Pitching will be the question with this team. They also lost a starter that transferred to Harrison Co. Campbell Co. will be in the hunt. They return a lot of really nice players. Montgomery Co. will be much improved from last year due to having a young squad. Nicholas county will be decent as well. they have a few nice players coming back. Clark Co. will be decent but losing 9 seniors will hurt. Brossart will be in a rebuilding year as they lost 8-9 seniors as well. I think the 10th region is up in the air this year. should be a fun year to watch. Here is my top 5. 1a Harrison Co 1b Bourbon Co 2. Campbell Co 3. Montgomery Co 4. Nicholas Co.
  6. Very impressive win for Harrison County. The Fillies had 16 hits and cruised past Campbell County. Congratulations to Campbell on a very good year. Harrison Co. Looks very focused and will be very hard to beat on their home field.
  7. Just wanted to get your thoughts on who you thought would win the 10th Region Tourney. My prediction is Harrison County. If they continue to hit the ball the way they have the last couple weeks, they will be very hard to beat. According to MaxPreps, Harrison County is 1st, 2nd or 3rd in just about every offensive category for Kentucky. Also think Campbell or Brossart has a chance, gonna be how the draw goes Saturday.
  8. Montgomery Co. goes to Bourbon Co. and beats them 6-5. Very good win for the Lady Indians. Also Clark Co. beat Paris 3-0.
  9. For one, if you knew who I was, you would know that I would NEVER demean any kid. If you took it that way, I do apologize. This issue can be resolved at the District level by voting. We had this come up a couple years ago and our District voted no. I do know it is very hard to get the votes if it had already been changed. If voting is tied, the rule doesn't change. My issue was ONLY with the rule. I do blame KHSAA. They make up rules just like the international tie breaker for post season play. Rule book says no international tie breaker in post season but KHSAA stepped in and made their own rule. If your gonna use the rule book, then use it. Like I said, my issue is only with the rule.
  10. I hope that they get that blind draw issue solved because it is not right for a team with 3 wins get into the Regional Tourney. Region Tourney is supposed to be the top 8 teams in the Region. Unfair advantage because its almost like 1 team in the tourney is getting a bye while everyone else has to fight each game. It is absolutely stupid that the blind draw is being used.
  11. Hats off to Paris, they played a perfect game and Harrison Co. played as about as bad as they could play. But don't get me wrong, this is a MUCH improved Paris team with a nice little pitcher. This team may surprise someone in their District Tourney.
  12. This doesn`t surprise me coming from the coaches at Pendleton Co.. Harrison Co. went to play at Pendleton earlier this year for a District game. Pendleton`s home field is the field closest to the road, this is the field they play all their home games on. When Harrison got there this field wasn`t even lined. Nothing wrong with the field. They set up the lower BIG field to play. Harrison had no clue why. Come to find out one of Pendleton`s parents said the coaches did that because they didn`t want Harrison Co. hitting homeruns. But that is the mindset of these coaches.
  13. Just to clarify, the official ball will be a Spalding Dudley Thunder Heat-Polycore.
