    1. Breckenridge County Tigers (14-2) SAME The Tigers continued to roll this week, running their winning streak to 10 games. On Tuesday, they rolled into Daviess County and took down the Panthers 79-63. Kobe Poole looked unstoppable at times, on his way to 36 points. Poole became the Tigers all-time leading scorer, moving past Breckenridge County legend Adam Mattingly. Mattingly, along with current head Coach Patrick Critchelow led Breck to...

I've said all along you can really throw a blanket over 10-11 teams in this region. The rankings are really fluid. Grayson County started well, hit a rough patch and now have reeled off some impressive wins in a row. A team like Meade, who hasn't been fully healthy for much of the season, is really hard to get a read on as well. I would bet they will be in the mix come tournament time. A lot of teams in the middle of the pack have solid...

    1. Breckenridge County Tigers (12-2) SAME Breckenridge maintains its top spot for the 2nd straight week. They defeated Cloverport 93-21 in their lone game this week. Jon Whitworth and Joey Howell both scored 14 in the win. This week they travel to Daviess County before returning home against North Bullitt. 2. Owensboro Red Devils (9-6) SAME The Devils used a big 4th quarter to score another win over Owensboro Catholic on Friday. The...

I nearly bumped Muhlenberg up to the 2 spot this week but it’s about quality wins and losses to me, at least thus far. No doubt it was a mistake to drop them 3 spots on that OT loss and I bumped them back up the next week. Tough to rank these teams without a legit standout. Any given night anyone in the top 8-9 teams could beat anyone or lose to anyone. Throw a blanket over them honestly. Should make for one heck of a tournament season. Love...

With the Holiday Tournament season in the books, this region looks as wide open as ever. While last weeks #1 Owensboro doesn't quite have the record of a top team, their strength of schedule is by far the toughest of any other team in the region. Middle of the pack teams like Muhlenberg, Butler County and Ohio County all had a very good holiday tournament season. Expect these rankings to continue to be fluid from week to week. 1....

As Christmas arrives, the region is as wide open as everyone expected heading into the season. Owensboro Catholic started the season with 7 straight wins, but this week showed this region is wide open. Owensboro only has a 6-4 record, but they have played the toughest schedule in the region. As they continue to get their entire roster healthy and gel as a team, you can expect them to be a tough matchup for anyone. 1. Owensboro Red Devils...
