  1. No, your assumption is incorrect. I never once said the head official was a Ryle coach. Please put your glasses back on and read my post. I never mentioned either post in the same conversation, they were separate.
  2. I could be wrong, but I don't remember him being 6'1. He's a great athlete don't get me wrong, but I don't believe he's a high D-1 level qb. He's got talent, but not at the level you speak of. Does he have any offers?
  3. I was told by the coaching staff at Ryle because it happened in front of the their bench, one ref came out calling a block, one ref came out calling it a charge. I guess they flipped a coin:sarcastic:
  4. Ryle did get hosed on that call, I have no dog in the fight, it could have been any team playing at the time of that call, they would have gotten hosed. I spoke with the head official yesterday and he admitted you swallow the whistle. They aren't perfect. However, Michael Scott played a whale of a game and if he decides to take the game over, I believe Conner can take the district title. Good luck to both teams!
  5. A charge is a charge and the Conner player was not set by no means, he was in action sliding over, that's a block, the Ryle player avoided any charge by the euro step.
  6. Not necessarily, other players have stepped up. However, after last nights Ryle vs Conner game, not sure if anyone can escape with a win but Conner. Jags better pray they get better officiating against Conner Friday night:rolleyes:
  7. Finally witnessed the play of the Goetz kid! No disappointment at all. He has the cleanest, purest, spot on jumper I've seen in the 9th region! Kudos to this kid and his talent!!
  8. Is Hawkins hurt? His presence this year has been very quiet. Did his knee injury put him back some?
  9. He's a junior correct? How old is he? I am hearing he is 18 already? Can anyone confirm? In and out of several schools, just wondering how this young mans school credits stand?
  10. I believe what sets true D-1 talent and status apart from good/average is the size, strength and speed. Most kids in high school don't have all three, its rare, those that do can pick and choose most often their next level.
  11. I too am surprised Hawkins is not putting more in the score book according to box scores. He is talented and with his size I would assume many put backs from this kid. Is he hurt? I know he was out last year for his knee, is he not the same player?
  12. I am curious. Has Crawford had much help in the past few years? It sounds as if he takes 70-80% of the shots and the ball is in his hands just as much. Is his team only as good as he is during games?
