  1. Good, hard fought game by both teams. Similar to the Daviess/Dunbar match game closer then the score, but make no mistake both fair results. CCH once again plays their game. I thought #3 for NH simply wore himself out playing 60% of the field. Clearly their only real threat just had nothing in the tank at the end of the first half and most of the second, can't blame the kid for his effort. Congratulations CCH on the win and good luck on Saturday.
  2. Dunbar should have gone up 2-0 in this one. Missed a great opportunity from the 6 yard line and the pass back to the Daviess Co keeper that went off the post. Those two go in and who knows. Daviess then go up two and clearly Dunbar was done for the night.
  3. Based on the play by play on the other thread the first and last PK taken by Simon Kenton went wide. Very tough to ask your keeper(s) to stop shots then step up and knock a PK into the back of the net.
  4. A strong statement to make about any one player, even more so considering (I think) the WJ keeper is only a freshman. She is on her way to one heck of a HS career.
  5. Do I understand this correctly, Simon Kenton used TWO different keepers during the 5 PKs taken by WJ? Did the first keeper get hurt during these PKs? This is a FIRST for me, I have never seen nor heard of a team using two different keepers during a 5 player round of PKs. I have known a few teams to use a different keeper (for all of the PKs) then the keeper that played all 90 minutes (80 minutes plus 5 and 5 OT) but NEVER switching during the PKs. If the first Simon Kenton keeper was not injured during the PKs can someone explain the reasoning behind this decision and do you think it had an impact on the result.
  6. Did the experience WJ gained by going to PKs in the first round against NDA help them in last night's semi final, likely. Lex Cath Vs WJ should make for an exciting final. WJ beat Lex Cath 3-0 back on 9/21, how does that result impact Saturday's final, if at all?
  7. So it down to Mason and Summit as the only OH boys teams still alive from Cincinnati, or am I missing someone?
  8. So we agree it's not a prefect system, it does not recognize all players deserving, and it leaves off players who deserve to be on the list. Do you think my name change suggestion is more fitting then? How does my post #13 have anything to do with CCH?
  9. Four good teams, two very good matchups. I see both games being hard fought contest that will come down to a few plays. Lex Cath 1 - Owenboro Catholic 0. I could also see this game going to PKs, then it's a coin flip. W Jessamine 3 - Simon Kenton 1 in the night cap.
  10. Completely agree. 38 goals, 10 assist while playing for the #29th team AND leading his team to the 10th region title, oh forgot that makes zero difference, voting takes place BEFORE the most important part of the season, what a joke. Comparing these factors to some that were selected over him and once again the "All Years of Service and Reputation (rather warranted or not) Awards" shine threw as the better title. As with the NKY "All Years of Service and Reputation Awards" simply consider who votes, the coaches, explains everything. Ask yourself how many games does each coach actually see these players play? MAYBE 3 , ( and that would be one, two, or three teams at most) if their team has them on their regular schedule then again during (maybe) one scouting situation then again in regional play. And in more times then not the coaches voting see the kids they voted for ZERO times. What a "great" format, laughable is more like it.
